* Note From The Author... *

Greetings conquerors. I am pleased to announce my latest and final updates to this mod to the versions 3.0.2, 3.1.2-3.2.2! Some of you have waited quite a long time for this and I consider myself lucky to have been able to finish it at all but nevertheless it's here. New additions on top of compatibility to the latest versions include new armies for hive's and machine empires, flavor events for their army experience event chain, new techs, special forces, and for all those who miss the feel of the old vanilla armies in the face of the newer ones, I created variants of the main default armies in the game and assigned them values to scale with that of my other additions with added flavor text! I consider this project concluded at this point and time and will not guarantee any further updates as long as Stellaris continues to recycle and change its own code on a quarterly basis and axing large swaths of mods with each cycle.

On The Future Of This Mod
I have no issue with others independently updating or building on my mod and encourage it. (though I'd appreciate the credit if you do take a significant amount from the raw source). Finally I'd like to thank everyone who's patiently waited and newcomers alike. Making this has been my pleasure and while I cannot say for certain what the future holds, rest assured you all have a place in my heart. Thank you for the good times and let slip the dogs of war!

Description:
- Ever since launch armies in Stellaris have been an afterthought by the devs. Army & General Staff brings some more flavor the land forces of your Stellaris empire by adding new content to make your armies more in depth than just units you throw at the AI planets until they fall. Land combat in Stellaris is also very dry and one sided. Personally i never liked that your defense armies are just a delay to inevitable conquest and land battles hardly affected worlds. Army & General Staff makes battles far more destructive and gives defense armies a fighting chance by adding new defensive buildings that vastly improve their fighting capabilities and adds new variants of the assault army to give you more creativity in the type of army you want. To help add to the role-playing potential the mod adds new policies to help you flesh out the nature of your army while changing how well your army fights depending on how you imagine your stellaris empire to be.

Game is unplayable now because the mod constantly launches pop up alerts - blank alerts. Unfortunate, I used to love this mod.

@risker the 34th - You have to activate the edict click on battle interface active and wait for hidden screens, then have an army orbiting the planet you at war with, then after a few game days the events and army invasions will occur. This is for 3.9 and 3.10

FYI - It kinda still works for 3.9 and 3.10, tested it. Very minor adjustments are needed but it does function.

Someone will have to take it upon themselves to update the mod on their own if they have the Author's code/permission, because otherwise we are never going to see this mod again

He said it clearly, he's never updating this again sadly. The only way we're getting this updated is if someone else takes it over.

I'm having a weird problem, i didn't get the first event to start the mod so i went into the files and console commanded it to start. I went through the entire chain and got the third generation tech. But when i go to edicts i only have the war room interface not the grand battle interface which is the one that actually makes fighting battles possible. has anyone else run into this before?
