Being a product of fragile masculinity and peak 70's design trends, the Y490 Callisto was designed to carry its owners and mid life crisis-sufferers at previously unimagined speed and luxury. The design is an odd mix between a larger sailboat a more conventional looking power yacht, which combined with an angled propeller shaft adds to its eccentricity. Doing 90 knots on calm waters with its massive boxer-4 engine, the Y490 is enough to distract anyone from the approaching sense of doom. Due to its high price and high need for maintenance, only about 400 were sold, with the company building them filing for bankruptcy a few years after the last boat produced.

Nowadays, it is a rarity. The looming 50-year anniversary of the first vessel, and losses due to user error or simple negligence have made the Y490s numbers drop drastically since it was first unleashed upon the balding market. You'd be lucky to find one, even luckier to find one that floats. This example has been fitted with a GPS map and satellite television, but remains otherwise original.

Operation

Flip the fuel pump to "on" and turn the ignition key. The starter disables when the RPS hits 5. If the engine is cranky you may need to up the throttle a little to get it above 5.

To reverse, hit 2. When the green "R" lights up on your starboard side, the gear has shifted, and you are free to reverse.

How To Not Eat ♥♥♥♥ And Die

here are some tips on how to stay safe while distracting yourself from your slowly growing bald spot:

1. At above 70 knots, the Y490 approaches the upper limits of its stability. One turn too sharp or wave too high will send it rocketing into the sky, and then down faster than a soviet submarine incapacitated under mysterious circumstances. If you see the forward end of the keel rise above water, cut back on the throttle to not crash and burn too badly.

2. Be mindful of opening the engine access hatches. There is a risk of water entering and flooding the machinery space. Keep them locked when in multiplayer and don't leave them open without supervision.

3. Reversing at high speed may stall the engine. This one is real hard to grasp, make sure to read it out loud several times.

4. KEEP AN EYE ON THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ABOVE 14 RPS. At above that the cooling system can't keep up.

Fun project this. I don't know what boats look like so it ended up looking a bit different. Initially i had only expected this beast to go around 30 knots. look at it now lmao.

Big thanks to an IRL friend of mine for telling me what "boats" look like. Without him this thing would probably not look as stunning as it does. Also thanks to ugandan chungus for smuggling me a good name. Ill be on the lookout for goons who may want it back.

Edit 1: fixed stabilisation and reworked steering. it is now more sluggish at higher speeds

Edit 2: probably wont be able to fix the stability issues on this thing but ive made them a bit better. turns better now also aha
