Description
Sten Mk. III from Raid: World War II

The British wanted a submachine gun that wasn't as expensive and heavy as the Lanchester (an MP 28 clone) and the Thompson, so they came up with what is possibly the cheapest and ugliest SMG of WW2. Mark I used wood extensively, Mark II dropped all pretense of ergonomics (at least the Canadian stocks weren't designed to destroy operator's hands), Mark III strengthened the Mark II's receiver, Mark IV was an experimental model with a funny folding stock, and Mark V good some wood back along with ergonomics. The Sten reuses the magazines from MP 28, which are the same as MP 40 mags, and are interchangeable with 50-round Lanchester magazines. The double stack single-feed magazines were notoriously prone to jamming if not maintained and handled properly.

Replaces the MP5 (model and reloading sounds)

Same story as with the Bren animations, so I decided to try out those BFV-like MP 28 anims by Cthulhu on the Sten model. Not the perfect fit, but serviceable enough nonetheless. I made it for the MP5 for variety reasons; we have plenty of regular SMG Stens in the Workshop. Now for the most trivial and juicy part: model pieces. By default Raid:WWII's Sten is a Canadian Mark II (it is actually called "Sten MkII" in-game) with a short magazine. Upgrades can give it longer and jungle-style taped magazines, a Mark I's compensator, Mark III receiver, Mark V's Lee-Enfield front sight, stock, pistol grip, and foregrip, and also a weird, seemingly fictional "Mk III vented" receiver. The actual Mk V receiver looks mostly like Mark II's. Being limited in animation choices, but longing for variety, I picked the Mark III with the long Lanchester magazine.

Also, sorry for not responding earlier, but you can partially blame the new mobile Steam app because it's garbage that barely works and doesn't show notifications sometimes.

You'll have to be more specific. You want a model from another game (no, sorry) or a different receiver (yeah, at some point)?
