Description
PHI Skorost-Class Assault Mech
SPECIAL TYPE SMALL GRID
_______________________________________________________________
Vanilla + DLC
_______________________________________________________________
Description:
A refinement of the E-27 Bandit, featuring improved armaments and visuals.
Whilst its mobility is largely the same, replacement of the "head" with a pair of independent sub-arms allows the Skorost to engage multiple targets at once, without having to point the hull towards the target.
The gatling turret is still there, serving as a general purpose weapon.
Slight changes to the hull and leg designs have slightly improved its stability as well.

_______________________________________________________________
Features:

  • Meant for Creative: Mech is loaded with ammo and fuel, but has no conveyor lines due to its design.
  • A gatling turret and two arms wielding a magic sword an autocannon each provide adequate offensive capabilities.
  • Legs are designed to move in accordance to the (lack of) force applied to them, making it seem like its deliberately moving its legs during certain actions, such as bracing itself for a fall or decelerating/accelerating.
  • Looks cute and/or cool depending on who you ask.

_______________________________________________________________
Specifications:

  • Blocks - Main Grid: 164
  • Blocks - With Subgrids: 291
  • PCU - Main Grid: 2,662
  • PCU - With Subgrids: 4,629
  • Mass - Loaded: 41,464 kg
  • Airtight: A single air vent collects oxygen for the cockpit.

Dimensions:
  • Length: 10.5 Meters.
  • Width: 9.5 Meters.
  • Height: 5.5 Meters.

Usage:
  • Role: Infiltrator, swarm attacker, scout.
  • Area of Operation: Planets with an atmosphere.

Other:
  • For parking, increase the friction of the wheels above 50% and shake the mech a little so the wheel settings update.
  • To make it mobile again, lower the friction to 0% and shake the mech a little.
  • This mech is mostly made to look cool. Whilst it can be used in combat, the fragile nature of it's design means that regular ground vehicles are likely going to perform better simply by lasting longer.

Author's Notes:

I've reused the demonstration clip for the Bandit, as the Skorost was built off of the Bandit's frame.

Thank you!

You're good, no worries.

I'm fine with it most of the time, given that people leave a link or ask me beforehand.

Hi Crescent,

I realized that my request may have been unclear before, so I wanted to circle back to clarify that our intention is to make a few changes to the grid in order to fit with our mod pack, such as adding a beacon or changing the power/weapons loadout, which will require a reupload. We've provided a link to your mod along with your name and full credit for the design on the page: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2439923690 .

I apologize if my original request was unclear; please let us know if you'd like us to stop using it.

Thanks so much! And yep the fragility is actually a selling point.

Sure, I don't mind.
Do note that the legs break with only a single hit in vanilla though.

This is a super cool mech! I'm a server admin and would love to include this in one of our potential events. Assuming I provide attribution would you mind allowing us to use it?
