SRI-9 Whale Louse Fighter Shuttles

Description
SRI-9A Whale Louse Single Crew Fighter
Description
The SRI-9A WhaleLouse is the first mini-fighter shuttle designed to work with the SRI whale series carriers. Each carrier will have multiple of these fighters docked that are able to detach and defend the main submarine against a variety of threats alien or otherwise. Each SRI-9A fighter is equipped with a double coilgun turret, as well as extended radio communications range on channel 9997(up to 1km using wifi technology). NOTE: There are no oxygen generators in fighters.

About Design
This is a single-person fighter shuttle designed to be used on carrier class submarines.

Gear to Bring
There is no way to escape the fighter if you run out of battery or the battery breaks, so be sure to have on a diving suit and bring a plasma cutter or crowbar.
Bring a welder, you will need it.
Bring a screwdriver and a wrench, just in case you need to do field repairs.

Displays
There are 2 displays inside the shuttle that show your current velocity. They are visible from the periscope as well.
There is 1 display outside the shuttle that shows the SIP address of the shuttle.

About SIP(unessential technical ramble)
SRI Internet Protocol, which is a very scuffed internet protocol that I implemented, it's less impressive than it sounds(every channel is an address and msgs are sent as "senderSIPmsg" and read so that replies can be sent back). Fighters have a device id(DID) and an SIP address, both of which you can see by accessing the 2 exposed mem components in the cockpit. A DID request is sent via channel 9998 to the docking hatch on the main sub, and a DIDREPLY containing the assigned DID will be sent back. When the DID is acquired, the fighter will send a REQ DID request on broadcast(channel 10000), which will be picked up by the main server and a REPLY sent back with the assigned SIP address and the DID confirming the reply was for this device.

Misc
estimated full charge operational time: 10-15 mins

Testers
I would like to thank Pep for testing this

SRI-9B Whale Louse Explorer
Description
The SRI-9B WhaleLouseExplorer is a slightly longer and less combat-able version of the standard WhaleLouse fighter. This has been modified to include an airlock to facilitate moving in and out of the shuttle, perfect for carrying crew from the main sub to an objective tucked away in a small tunnel.

===========================================================
About Design
This is a small explorer shuttle designed to be used as crew transport or item transport between objectives and the main sub.

Check out the Gear to Bring, Displays and About SIP(unessential technical ramble) sections for SRI-9A because both apply to SRI-9B as well.

Misc
estimated full charge operational time: 10-15 mins

max speed x: 56km/h
max speed y: 18km/h

SRI-9C Whale Louse Gunship
Description
The SRI-9C Whale Louse Gunship is a double-hulled version of the SRI-9A with a chaingun. It is also equipped with a toggleable auto-discharge coil which detects alien life in range of the coil and automatically triggers it every 10 seconds or so. This variant is slightly less manoeuvrable than the base SRI-9A fighter, but has a tougher hull to crack through and fares much better in closer range encounters.

===========================================================
About Design
This is a small, dual-crew fighter shuttle designed to be used in close quarters combat against enemies that are too close to the main submarine to use SRI-9D or SRI-9E. The double hull gives the gunner more time on the gun before they have to go and repair damage done to the fighter.

Check out the Gear to Bring, Displays and About SIP(unessential technical ramble) sections for SRI-9A because both apply to SRI-9C as well.

SRI-9D Whale Louse Interceptor
Description
The SRI-9D Whale Louse Interceptor is a modified version of the SRI-9A fighter, but instead of a double coilgun, it has a single railgun as the main armament. This variant is a periscope-controlled fighter, and the shuttle nav terminal is instead used to control the railgun. This set up allows the pilot(s) to easily hit targets farther away, up to 100m away from the interceptor at the edge of the radar screen.

===========================================================
About Design
This is a small, glass-hulled single crew fighter shuttle designed to sit back far away from enemies and blast them with the railgun from 100m away.

Check out the Gear to Bring, Displays and About SIP(unessential technical ramble) sections for SRI-9A because both apply to SRI-9D as well.
