Description
Welcome to Costa Forte!

Costa Forte (Italian for Strong Coast) is an entirely fictitious, hand crafted map, inspired by multiple locations around the Mediterranean sea. The starting tile should be relatively easy to build on, but there will be some tricky choices to make as you decide in which direction to expand your city builds. There are sandy beaches tucked between rugged mountains, dramatic height changes, twisting rivers, and a wide river delta. Costa Forte is definitely a map for players who want to build with a few more topological restrictions. But the possibilities to build truly beautiful cities are truly limitless for the particularly creative!

- All resources should be available and accessible within the base 25 tile area.
- Approx. 233,000 trees.
- The highways have been customized with the MoveIt!, Network Multitool, and Node Controller mods. Traffic should flow fine, but let me know if there are issues.
- All network connections are available.

Optional Requirements
In order to get the map looking the same as the screenshots you see here, there are some visual mods that are required. These aren't necessary to run the map, only for making it look prettier. The mods can all be found in the Costa Forte One-Click Collection. If you get the visual mods, be sure to check the screenshot for the necessary Render It! mod settings.

Feedback
If ever you find anything wrong with the map or if I've missed a required asset or something please let me know. I can't promise a fast response, but I'll try to take care of any legitimate problems as quickly as I can.

Thank you!
Please enjoy Costa Forte! It's been wonderful to be a small part of the Cities community for so many years, and all the support that everyone has sent my way has really encouraged me in some difficult times. Thank you all for your kindness! I hope to continue making Cities content and being a part of this great community for as long as I can.

@Jisgr8 - Sweet, dude! So glad you've been able to enjoy this one for so long.

Amazing map! I have been building on it for almost 1 year after losing my San Fran city and map during a computer upgrade. Would be interested to see other peoples cities on this map and compare ideas!

Gorgeous map!

@SgtMustang - Glad we got it figured out! I'll be opting for workshop content over DLC content so as to avoid this kind of problem with future maps.

@Scotland Tom,

Oh yeah, jeez, I just realized I do not. I'm not used to the Workshop interface and somehow the DLC warning wasn't obvious to me. That must be it. Thanks!

@SgtMustang - One last thought. Do you have the Mass Transit DLC? I primarily used the 2-lane highways from that DLC, so if you don't have it you won't have proper highway connections.

@SgtMustang - I've checked in the map editor and by starting a new city. From everything I can tell, the starting tile is still the center tile and definitely has a highway connection. I may try to get someone else to load it up and take a look to confirm, but right now the map seems to be entirely in order.

@SgtMustang (Slava Ukraini) - That's weird. Don't think I ever messed with the starting tile. I'll take a look at it though, thanks!

Doesn't look like the starting square has any external connections. There are some highway links in the tile neighboring it, but they don't go anywhere.

Finally you are back. Miss your maps since Tenasi River.
