L.A.X IS-200 Interpoller

The L.A.X IS-200 series Interpoller is designed to be a personal interplanetary civilian ship carrier but can also be easily modified to be a light interplanetary freighter as well. Designed for speed and maneuverability and also practicality, the Interpoller is designed to be a capable ship for many roles. This variant here is a carrier variant which has 3 hangers, and the hanger closest to the ground is deigned to carry rovers from planet to space, vice versa. One of its hangers is an open style Hanger which means it can carry much larger crafts if they do not fix in the in closed hangers. The ship's quick acceleration and handling allows it to keep up with faster ships. This also means the ship handles similarly to smaller and lighter crafts. Its side mounted and top mounted Gatling guns and dual artillery turrets allow it to defend its self against weaker targets for self defensive measures. It also has an abundance to decoys mounted in the external pods for draw enemy fire away from the main hull. Enjoy!

Back many, many years ago, This line of ships was first introduced as a personal carrier of smaller ships for upper-class citizens who were looking to store their ship for in comfort, style, and speed. L.A.X executives where on the verge of bankruptcy and were doubtful of the susses that this ship would have in such a niche market. The first ship in this line had some what disappointing sales figures. This was not good enough for L.A.X. L.A.X wanted to break into the large ship market for some time now, so they deiced that they would take their chances on the IS-200 "Interpoller". The team had spent much time fixing the many flaws of the original is-150. They added dual jump drives, a hanger designed for rovers, lightened the air frame, added more powerful engines that enabled it to easily land on 1.g planets, full pressurization to almost every room, an up-to-date and better equipped interior, added a whole lot more Gatling turrets and dual sided mounted artillery cannons, a signal rail gun, and the list goes on. All of these much welcomed upgrades and improvements made the ship soon-to-be astounding success, as now it could compete with flagships. It sold well, and was and still loved by many people worldwide for its timeless old-school design and excellent handing and performance. In fact, owners would actually often left the exterior paint show signs of ware as they thought it added more character to the design. By now, these ships can be found used and discounted for a much more reasonable price. The Interpoller may be old by today's standards but the classic design has aged gracefully and it still stands the test of time as one of the best personal carrier ships you could affordably buy.

This ship will receive occasional minor updates and tweaks.

Update 3/8/22: Interior has revived some minor improvements and new rooms. Also now uses Warfare 1 (WARFARE 1 IS ENTIRELY OPTIONAL, SHIP WILL NOT FALL APART WITHOUT IT!). Updated screenshots coming soon!

Thurster Type : Primarily hydrogen, Auxiliary Ion Thrusters. (In case hydrogen runs out)

Engine Types : Battery powered, Hydrogen engines and dual emergency back up reactors.

Life Support : Each room is fully pressurized EXPECT the engine inspection room, captain's bunk with medical station and bed, Guest room with survival kit and dual beds, one cryo pod for an extra passenger, a kitchen and solar panels to keep the ship battery's charged and crew satisfied.

Interior Ship Storage : Three Hangers, Each of them can carry normal sized craft, with the exception of "HANGER B" as it is designed to carry rovers. The hanger located at the front side of the ship is an open air style to allow larger then usual crafts to fit. Also contains one large cargo container and ten small cargo containers.

Ship Defensive Measures : Contains multiple fixed decoys mounted in the external pods on the sides of the ship,
also contains a locked on warning system. Also comes with three onboard parachutes. (Parachute hatches are not connected to the convey system and must be loaded manually in order to function.)

Armament : Side mounted Gatling turrets and artillery cannons, capable of defending its self against weaker enemies and has dual front mounted artillery cannons and a signal front mounted rail gun for long range attacks. Also has a signal side mounted artillery turrets on either side of the ship. Has internal anti-personnel turrets in-case of a enemy breach.

Performance And Handling : Can land on 1.G planet. Handling is reasonably quick and nimble. Can hit 100 m/s in 8 seconds (Dry Weight, No extra load equipped).

Production Capabilities: 1 Refinery with all upgrade modules equipped, 2 industrial assemblers with all upgrade modules equipped, fully conveyored up.

Navigation And Infotainment : Contains two jump drives (Max jump range is 2,568 km with dry weight), and has a command seat for maximum ship information readout and a two co-pilot flights seats for additional information. Also contains a holographic glass artificial horizon.

This is not a combat oriented ship! Do not expect this to out preform other large ships in dogfights as it was not designed for combat. It is mostly light armor but contains heavy amour around the bridge and engines and also the turrets mounting points.

Also please do not store explosive in the large cargo container! Doing so caa lead to a chain reaction of explosions
because the large cargo container is located near the hydrogen tanks! Instead store explosives and ammo in the small cargo containers located in the front of the ship.
