NZR Silver Star Coach Pack

Description
The Silver Star train entered service on the 6th September 1971 and ended NZR service on the 8th June 1979. It replaced the Night Limited Express, and was the predecessor to the Northerner. The Silver Star was normally hauled by Double DAs (1971-1973) and a single DX (1973-1979). The 31 carriages were manufactured by Hitachi and Nippon Sharyo. 24 of the 31 Silver Star carriages are in service with Orient Express Trains & Cruises between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
