A decade of successful service has given ships of the Unstoppable class fame not only within the borders of Consolidation, but also far beyond it. Stories about incredible battles involving these ships have become the reason for the instant flight of pirates, as soon as the ship appears in sight. But the past years of technological progress have made themselves felt and OPC has finally decided to discontinue the operation of Unstoppable in the Defense Fleet.

It was replaced by a new generation ship, built taking into account the changed tactics of combat and the needs of the Consolidation fleet. The ship, intended primarily for patrolling and guarding convoys, was decided to be named Serene, as a sign of what this ship brings to all residents of the Outer Planets Consolidation. Inheriting the forms of Unstoppable, this ship nevertheless moved away from the image of a formidable guard and instead acquired sharper and more aggressive lines that bring a contrast to its name. Serene became the first Consolidation ship equipped with new artillery installations that allow firing at a greater distance than the guns of the ships of the previous generation. Also, this ship became the first OPC warship to completely lose its hydrogen accelerators. For this reason, this ship cannot land on planets, but given its purpose, it does not need to.

Serene also became the first OPC warship in a long time. But the increasing production capacities of Consolidation shipyards throughout its territory suggests that this will not be the last ship and that there are good reasons for this.

Love this ship! It's in the same color scheme as my factions. Strange that I'm only now see ships painted like that, never really saw them in the past. Looks stunning as well.

I think a corvette would be a good choice of class. You put a lot of time into lore and that would match better. I like ships with lore behind them, though I don't do that with my own (though I should).

Regarding jump drives - according to lore, Consolidation has vast territories and a relatively small military fleet, which is why the defense forces are heavily distributed and for threats where one ship may not be enough, urgent help is necessary, which requires ships capable of long jumps.

What about the class of the ship, I think that after the release of several planned ships in the small grid, this ship will shift to the corvette class, so will see

I like the ship. But for a "patrol gunboat" I think I'd have only one jump drive or none at all to save on mass and PCU. A patrol craft signifies something that doesn't travel very far and a gunboat, to me, means something that punches far above its weight-class since it isn't venturing out very far and doesn't need to sustain itself or a crew for more than a couple of hours.

In historic terms, perhaps an escort destroyer since in its lore its duties include convoy protection? Still like the ship.
