Description
(NOTE: THIS MODEL IS A LEGACY MODEL. IT WONT RECIEVE ANY UPDATES SINCE THERE ARE MORE SUPERIOR VERSIONS OUT THERE)

After 3 months of being on hiatus, i present the next installment of the U-boat series, with the undervalued passenger variant, the GE U34CH.

This particular model was introduced in 1970 and ended production in 1973 with only 33 units being built for use by the New Jersey Department of Transportation, with there first railroad being the Erie Lackawana. Rated at 3,600hp, they were intended as supplements towards older units being used. They proved successful in service, working with either new or old passenger cars, laying the path for how passenger trains would operate, using an auxiliary generator that was added to a lengthened prime mover, which would power the passenger cars, something revolutionary at the time. One of these units, that being the final unit ended up on Metro North for a while, before ending up on SEPTA.

These units would slowly be phased out of service starting in the 1990s with the introduction of rebuilt GP40PH locomotives, with the last run of the units taking place on August 27th, 1994 with a farewell excursion. Only one of these locomotives survives, in the form of EL 3372 (or NJT 4172) which is currently preserved at Boonton, NJ awaiting its chance to be restored.

In this pack, you get 4 variants depicting them in there careers.
