Those Crazy Solo Night Ops of His, B41.66

Description
The scope of this mod is simple: Restore night vision functionality to items from Brita's Armor Pack and Paw Low Loot that was removed by those mods' authors in the wake of a nasty and infamous bug in Eris NVG that caused dropped and placed items to vanish. Eris has since updated their mod to patch this issue. However neither Brita nor Paw Low have updated theirs, and thus their night vision offerings remain as paperweights.

This mod rectifies that. Currently, this mod features three separate patches. The first, the Armor Pack patch, restores the NVG functionality as well as update the spawn tables for the NVGs. THey will now spawn in more locations but remain vary rare on a per-container basis. The second, the PLL patch, restores the functionality to the HECU and ARES masks while also suppressing old Eris code still present in that mod. The third and final mod is entirely optional, and is a simple distro override for Eris in the event one may wish to suppress the NVGs that Eris NVG spawns.

NOTE: For the record, you do not need either PLLoot or Brita if you only use one or the other. As seen below in the Mod ID list, this is a collection of patches with different combinations of requirements, and I've merely listed the total requirements in the sidebar.

NOTE 2: In regards to reports that Brita NVGs aren't working, I should point out that all of Brita's NVGs have two "wear" states, "ON", and "OFF". You can change the state of the goggles via the context menu, I.e. right-clicking on the NVG, and selecting Wear -> ON. The nightvision functionality only works with the ON state.

Made and tested on B41.66. Comments and criticisms are greatly appreciated.

Is it necessary to have one of these mods? Armor Pack / Paw Low Loot

I added this to my dedicated server and 2 nvgs are now working. AN PVS-15, and GPNVG-18 the rest don't hold batteries/turn on.

@John Doe, thanks, 2 other NVGs didn't seem to work with this patch + required eris NVGs mod, but the AN PVS-15 goggles did. The option to turn on worked, but had to use 'N' to turn on and see different filters and brightness.

anyone else with brita armor pack? tried this mod but doesnt seem to work, i still dont have any ability to add batteries nor have the option show up to change brightness?

is it because im trying to add it on an existing save?

would be amazing if this worked for all the newer NVGs as well. just looking at the new NVG mod compared to this just seems like a major downgrade with how its simply a bright green square thrown onto the screen

Thanks for your work on this. This wasn't super obvious at first, but for those having issues, this only works for the goggles that were in Britas previously (see the first picture above). I got it to work for those, but none of the newer nvgs.

Any way to adjust spawn rates?

Seems some people are having issues. :P

I'll go through and try and figure out why some folks can't get the battery option to come up.

:thumbsup

For those who can't seem to get the goggles to work, spawn in "AN PVS-15 Night Vision Goggles" using -debug mode or the mod: Itemlist(cheat).

The ones I tried lacked the battery option but these work fine.
