NEC Trenton - AM Rush

This map covers the section of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor (NEC) between Philadelphia and northern New Jersey. At the middle of this territory is Trenton which is an the end point for Septa and NJT commuter trains. This simulation is strictly based on the Fall 2019 Amtrak, New Jersey Transit and Septa timetables with very small changes made to adapt it to Rail Route.

Background:

Amtrak
Train symbols are prefixed with an "A" and should generally be considered the highest priority, especially the A2000 series Acela Express trains. Most trains stop in Trenton but some pass straight through. Occasional stops are made at Cornwells Heights, Princeton Jct and New Brunswick. The middle tracks are rated for the highest speeds and should be used whenever possible in order to maintain timeliness.

New Jersey Transit
The NJT train symbols are simply their normal 4 digit train number. Trains will be dispatched from coach yards at Morrisville and County to head north to New York City. Trains depart Morrisville Yard early so be careful to not bring them onto the main line prematurely and create traffic jams. Take extra care to order your trains correctly at New Brunswick since some trains deadhead from Morrisville and may come earlier than wanted. Some trains will express after their stop at Princeton Jct and will need to be switched over to track 2.

Septa
Several Septa trains typically overnight in Trenton. These trains will spawn from HAM interlocking at the beginning of the simulation. Later, trains will also use that track at HAM to relay back to Trenton station.

The scenario starts off slow which will give the player time to figure out which auto signals need to be made perpetual.
