ph_bunker_enhanced





ph_Bunker is based off the Conker's Bad Fur Day Multiplayer map of the same name, Bunker. This is not a port. While not an 100% accurate recreation due to Hammer Editor's limitations, I tried to get as close as possible to the original layout of the map.

Custom Assets
  • 200+ Textures
  • 29 Sound Effects
  • Custom Soundscape
  • 23 Custom Props

Features from original map
  • Pressure plates that activate the flame traps and the tesla coil, with original sounds
  • Custom soundscape using original in-game sound effects

I attempted to create a soundscape that captures the original feel from Conker's Bad Fur Day. (With some added flair)

Planned Updates
Striked lines are completed
  • Fix the skybox issue where you can see parts of the map beyond the skybox (only if outside)
  • Change how many bolts come out of the tesla coil (Upped it as a joke and forgot to reduce it)
  • Tweak the soundscape sound effects (I.E. adjust volume, frequency, etc)
  • Secrets
  • Add AI nodes
  • Add more spawns (Currently only the original map spawn locations are used)

Known Bugs
Striked lines are fixed
  • Tesla Coil and Flame traps don't damage the hunters or props
  • Soundscape is too loud and overpowers taunts
  • Custom props do not scale correctly when you become them, such as the Rare Logo and certain boxes. (This is an issue with prop scaling in the editor)
  • The tesla coil is missing part of the body, no clue why its gone

its on my list, but the time it takes to convert textures, models, etc it takes time. I've got 2 in the pipeline as well, one mostly done which is more a prototype using the doors addon, and the other is the training/tutorial section from Sarge's Heroes :trophy:

@FurrySlurry (the sergal king) there is one on one of the outdoors areas, doesnt quite fit the ideas i have atm

Maybe one day we might find an entrance at the bank since idk wheres the exit or the entrance of this feral reserve bank.

@FurrySlurry (the sergal king), its funny cuz the original idea was to have the modern textures be "enhanced" and the original textures was supposed to be the normal name.

Heist is on my list to re-make. So is Total War. Its all based on what i feel like working on at any given time. At the moment, its VTOL VR mods.

@MBL1UP, I plan to remake Heist at some point, I messed it up and it'd be easier to just re-make it from scratch. (Its off grid so its just screwed)

I was thinking of doing Raptor next but it doesn't really fit the Prop Hunt gamemode. I had a 50% complete version of Total War with working gas canisters and saferooms where the gas masks go, but I could never get the underground to look right so I scrapped the map for now.

Honestly, I've got no clue what map I'll do next. I've got another map to finish polishing too. (Map is from Army Men Sarges Heroes (N64))

That would be cool. I would love to see more Conker or other Rareware based Prop Hunt maps in the future.

Yeah, I probably could add some chocolate around that give you health. I think I know how to do that.

The map is maybe 1/3 done in terms of prop placement. I removed the outside and expanded area from the sandbox version since it felt too big for prop hunt. The soundscape is also just a bit too loud for prop hunt. I play a server with auto-taunt so the constant overpowering soundscape of war mashes with the taunts.

This is my first *real* prop hunt map, so its a learning experience for me. Aside from making the custom props (4 boxes, Nintendo logo, Rare logo, chocolates, money bag, dino egg, double dash truck and gas canister) placing those plus default HL2 and Gmod related props is a challenge to make them fit.
