What does this mod do?
This mod allows you to read while walking and has sandbox options to make reading faster (or slower)



How does it work?
When starting a new game, the settings you can change can be found under the [M-13's Reading Tweaks] category.



Sandbox options explained:

Minutes per page (Build 41 only)
This value determines how fast or slow you read books while standing or walking.
The default for SOLO is 2.0, The default for Servers is 1.0
The lower this value, the faster you read.
(For example: setting this to 0.1 will make you read really fast)

NOTE: This is a vanilla option in B42, look for Minutes Per Skill Book Page under Character

Sitting Multiplier
This value multiplies the reading speed, but only applies when sitting or resting.
The Higher this value, the faster you read.
(For example a value of 10.0 allows you to read 10x faster)

Read while walking
Enable this to read a book while walking.

Changing the sandbox options for a game already in progress:

This section is for people that do not feel like starting a new game after installing this mod, or those suffering from incorrect values due to mod/game updates.

To change the sandbox settings for a game already in progress, either use a MOD or enable DEBUG mode
(Starting a new game also works, but why would we want to do that?)

How do i enable debug mode?

To enable debug mode using Steam:
- Rightclick on Project Zomboid in your Steam Library
- Click on Properties
- In the box under Launch Options type: -debug

To enable debug mode using a shortcut to Project Zomboid:
- Rightclick on your shortcut to Project Zomboid
- Click on Properties
- In the box target append the path with -debug
For Example: "C:\Project Zomboid\ProjectZomboid64.exe" -debug

After this:
- Launch Project Zomboid and load your save.
- Click on the WASP looking icon on the left side of the screen, this is the DEBUG MENU.
- Click on Sandbox Settings

If you want ALL reading to go faster:
- Click on the Character tab and look for Minutes per skill book page
- Lower it's value to make reading go faster.
If you only want reading to go faster when sitting:
- Click on the M-13's Reading Tweaks tab and look for Sitting Multiplier
- The higher this number, the faster you read when sitting on the ground or on furniture.
After you are done changing values click Apply Changes
If you want to disable DEBUG MODE, close your game and remove -debug from the launch options.

NOTE: The settings you changed will only take effect AFTER you reloaded your save game.

Does this mod work with other mods?
Unless another mod tries to modify reading speed, there should be no issues

What if i do not want to use this mod anymore?
This mod can be safely removed from your game without consequences.

Does this work for Multiplayer?
For B41: Yes it does, but it overwrites the "MinutesPerPage" value in your server's sandbox settings.
When Multiplayer for B42 releases, i expect no issues regarding this either.

It should also work in Co-op, but i have not tested this.
