Gameplay based on the zombie mod for CS 1.6

Some features of the plague mod:
  • Turning into zombie in one hit
  • Ammunition and weapons respawn over period of time
  • Round time is 5 minutes
  • Incoming damage slowing down a movement speed
  • Custom animations for zombies and players in lobby
  • Zombies getting a HP reward for successful attacks
  • Before outbreak starts survivors have time to gear up

Several gameplay variables could be changed in a JSON file zps/data/custom/pgm_office_v1.json

That's sad to hear. It's a good map and gamemode it just needs some adjustments to make it fun for zombies all the time. I did see the infection chance for controlling starting zombies in the json file. I told Conker how to change it but he won't do it for some reason. That's why I came to post about it here, sorry if I was rude about it.

It's good to know that sledge can be disabled too thanks for telling me.

Hello!

I understand that people learned how to play the map and the gamemode itself and it probably requires some balance changes but thing is I'm out of modding for good and there is no way back for me.

Now it's up to server operators to handle balance on the map if they really want to. There is an option to control a few variables of the gamemode via configuration file, it even let you to disable the sledgehammer so it wont spawn at all and othre things that may drastically change gameplay.

Launch the map once on local server and navigate configuration file of the map to see all available options.

Allowing survivors to camp on top of the dumpster in the parking garage is the maps dumbest design choice. 1 survivor camping there with a sledge and some barricades can easily win against 20 zombies.

Sledgehammer is way too over powered and shouldn't be in this gamemode. It does 1 hit kill on zombie no matter where you hit them, takes no skill. It hits an infinite number of targets caught within the swing radius. It gets abused or exploited by people when used with barricades or in spots zombies have to crouch to get to survivors. Survivors are already powerful enough, they don't need sledgehammers.

Survivors win 90% of the time, it sucks to play as zombie. If zombies can't get more then a couple kills after they turn at the start of the round, they almost never recover from it. Lots of people will just afk as zombie. Sometimes there's good rounds where zombie do try and eventually get the survivors. Most of the time they get any survivors its usually cause survivors get bored and mess around, or they get griefed by people blocking doors from opening, or putting props in between barricades and boards causing them to glitch and fly out and kill survivors.

The amount of starting zombies needs increased to something like 4 zombies instead.
