Description
This map covers the section of Amtrak's Northeast Corridor (NEC) between Philadelphia 30th Street Station and territory north of the station including the start of the Keystone Line to Harrisburg. This simulation is strictly based on the Fall 2019 Amtrak, New Jersey Transit and Septa timetables with very small changes made to adapt it to Rail Route.

Background:

Amtrak
Train symbols are prefixed with an "A" and should generally be considered the highest priority, especially the A2000 series Acela Express trains. All trains stop in Philadelphia with the exception of the super express A2401. Occasional stops are made at North Philadelphia. Be careful, some trains will exit at Bridesburg on 1 track. The Keystone trains in the A600 series will stop in Philadelphia and turn back to continue to either the Keystone Line or on the NEC to Bridesburg.

New Jersey Transit
Train symbols are prefixed with an "N". This simulation has only 3 pairs of NJT trains which enter and exit from the NJT Atlantic City Line at SHORE interlocking.

Septa
Train symbols are prefixed with an "S" and make up the majority of trains on this map. All trains either enter or exit at the "To Upper Level" tracks which lead to the 30th Street Station Upper Level. Four Septa routes are featured on this map: 1) Paoli/Thorndale Line via the Keystone Line, 2) Cynwyd Line via Wynnefield, 3) Chestnut Hill West Line via Queen Lane, and 4) Trenton Line via the NEC at Bridesburg.

The scenario starts off slow which will give the player time to figure out which auto signals need to be made perpetual. A few tricky dispatching moves will arise at different times and locations but the schedules have enough padding where only a major mistake will cause loss in points.

Mapmaker challenge: Play the entire scenario at a minimum of 5x speed without pausing. Should only take 45 minutes.

Yes, I do plan on making a Septa map, it will definitely be a challenge to create but will be lots of fun to run!

do you ever plan on doing a SEPTA map proper?
