Rat Mode

Description
Play using Warhammer: Vermintide inspired rules! This is a mutation that can be played on any existing campaign.

Currently working on this, there are bugs. Let me know if your console is spitting red text at you.




General Changes
  • A focus is placed on the usage of melee weapons by severely limiting the amount of reserve ammo weapons may hold.

  • Zombies are more aggressive and appear in larger groups, but kills provide temporary health.

  • Temporary health decays much more quickly, but it is used first when taking damage.

Comprehensive Changes

Survivors
  • AI teammates will use melee weapons.
  • Temp HP decays 4x faster.
  • Kills provide temporary HP to the killer (Scales with difficulty and zombie type).
  • Boss kills provide temporary HP to the whole team (Also scales).
  • When taking damage, temp HP is taken first.
  • Survivors are revived with 50 temp HP.

Weapons + Items
  • Adrenaline reduces incoming damage by 75% while active
  • Pump/Chrome shotgun reserve ammo 72 -> 12
  • Uzi/Mac10 reserve ammo 650 -> 25
  • Hunting Rifle reserve ammo 150 -> 25
  • Military Sniper Rifle reserve ammo 180 -> 0
  • M16/Scar20/AK-47 reserve ammo 360 -> 25
  • XM1014/Spas12 reserve ammo 90 -> 10
  • Grenade Launcher reserve ammo 30 -> 4

Zombies
  • Common infected can detect survivors from further away, and do so much faster.
  • Hordes appear more frequently on all difficulties.
  • Hordes are larger on all difficulties.
  • Wandering zombie groups are more dense.
  • Common infected are allowed to spawn during Tank encounters.
  • Special infected spawn slightly more frequently.

I have spent a few more hours with this, major of common kills dont give temp HP, it's may not be the problem if we have dodge and parry tho, but L4D2 does not have those kind of mechanics, so the amount of Infecteds felt kinda overwhelming

some maps don't even have any melee weapon to start with :DSTskull:, ammo is different than descrition, more like you get one magazine for auto, otherwise the mod works fine

This looks interesting and I'm sure I'm gonna have a lot of fun with it! Do you know if there any mutations out there that *only* have the "Common infected are allowed to spawn during Tank encounters" change?
