Brimstone

Description
After a grueling 400 hours of work over 3 months, I bring you my first (published) sub: Brimstone. A prototype attack-class submarine developed by the Coalition for use in especially dangerous missions, primarily going up against other vessels. It was made to give the Coalition a way of handling large obstacles without exposing personnel to unnecessary risk. Note: Giving a positive rating helps a lot, so if you like the sub it would be greatly appreciated!

In-Game Description
"Brimstone is a highly experimental Coalition-funded attack vessel that aims to take advantage of state of the art military technology to attain a stopping-power unparalleled by that of all previous commercially available submarines. Brimstone houses two highly advanced guided nuclear torpedoes capable of annihilating almost all known lifeforms. As Brimstone is only a prototype, it is very unoptimised and still has some major technical problems."

* 1 unchangeable double Flak-Cannon.
* Table next to medical fabricator.

* Brimstone does not require any separate downloads to work. It does, however, require this mod to be installed as it includes a modified crate shelf that does not increase cargo capacity and a modified explosive charge for balancing purposes.

Notable Features
Torpedo Control:
Both torpedoes are steered separately from a single terminal; Furthermore, the switching is handelled fully automatically through a form of pinging system that detects when the controlled torpedo stops responding (for example in case of detonation or batteries running out). Detonation can be performed either through the click of a button or by a contact fuze, the latter can be toggled by a switch labelled "Automatic Trigger." The launching mechanism can be unlocked from a switch labelled "Unlock Torpedo Control" which is located in Control as a way to combat griefing. Note that a torpedo can not reattach once it has launched. If a monster has entered an empty torpedo-bay, using the discharge coils can give the captain time to reposition.

Control:
The control room contains systems that help the captain maintain control over their ship. The periscope lets the captain monitor their crew through five indoor cameras positioned throughout the ship, the left mouse button is used to switch between cameras. The terminal can be used to remotely set the recharge rate of the batteries. Torpedo control is locked and unlocked from here through a switch. The control room can only be opened by a captain, security or admin ID card. (As of 1.1.1, a new panel has been added which displays all active emergencies onboard the sub and what rooms are affected.)

Prototype Aux. Engine:
Brimstone includes a prototype auxiliary engine based on recent breakthroughs in fulgurium technology. Due to the relative recency of the developed technology there are still big problems that need to be worked out before the engine can be made commercially available. While significantly stronger than all other engines of its size, it's also incredibly power hungry and very unrealiable when used for extended durations. The heat build-up while in use is so great that the engine almost immediately reaches unsafe levels and rapidly starts to deteriorate. On top of this, because of the engines uniqueness reparations can end up taking much more time even by a skilled mechanic. The power consumption also means that the built-in reactor can't generate enough power to sustain both engines at once by itself, the battery array will therefore need to be utilized as well. With all of this said, the engine works very well at making an emergency escape or quickly closing in on a target, but prolonged use is strongly discouraged.

Crate-storage:
A fairly dense storage system is utilized throughout Brimstone in the form of crate shelves to be used by the crew itself. One crate shelf can be located within the armory and contains four locked metal crates. Another one can be found in the stowage compartment, directly connected to engineering.

Brimstone was built to support most gamemodes, however most of the testing was done in campaign. I'm not yet fully satisfied with the balancing and I am planning to continue working on balance-changes after the initial release. With that said, please feel free to tell me about any changes you feel like I should make; Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Edit: Ever since the initial release, the nuclear drones did not work after being replaced in the outpost. However, as of 1.2.0 this has now been completely fixed! That means that Brimstone finally works in campaign.

very cool ship, the fact that it enables traitors to be more creative is very fun, and I especially love the graphical representation of the water level in the airlocks, and the hidden storages.
