SV-98狙击步枪，前苏联/俄罗斯军队装备SVD狙击步枪多年，虽然该枪重量轻、坚固耐用，作为战术支援武器来说颇为有效，但SVD在中远距离上的精度差，不适合远距离的精确射击，也不适宜面对人质劫持之类的任务。由于有这样的需求，伊孜玛什公司（伊热夫斯克兵工厂）的弗拉基米尔·斯特龙斯基基于该公司原来的Record系列运动步枪，在1998年设计了一种旋转后拉式枪机狙击步枪，命名为“1998型狙击步枪”（Снайперская винтовка 1998），简称SV-98（СВ-98）。虽然SV-98在当年就已经被俄罗斯的执法机构和特种部队少量试用，但由于俄罗斯军方制式武器的国家靶场试验和部队试用的周期比较长，所以直到2005年底才正式被俄罗斯军队采用 [1] 。(来自百度百科)
