Guts the Black Swordsman and Puck, Rebalanced.

Dark Xero Edition, previously updated by WCC, then Rebalanced by Nick Scythe.


Guts was too op later on in the game, so this is a rebalance. Item values might be annoying for you, so feel free to edit those in the config files.


Guts can't sleep, or wear headwear besides the berserker helmet.

Guts changes from WCC edition:

Massive nerf to HP, food nerfed slightly, and lowered damage scaling tremendously.
Health: 280 down to 200
Food: 150 down to 120
Sanity remains at 40.
Damage multiplier 1.9 down to 1.5

Helmet: Speed increase 1.9 down to 1.4
Sanity drain lowered? (insignificant)
Damage multiplier 1.25 up to 1.35
Damage reduction down from 85% to 70%.

Cannonball: Big damage up 200 to 250 (no reason to use it over sword prior, also is a consumable that can be tricky or tedious to craft)

Dragonslayer: Damage up from 68 to 70 (lowered multipliers make it ok)
Durability cost from every action besides hitting enemies increased by a lot (from 1% to 8%) To not use it as the only tool.
Durability gained from hitting enemies now 4% up from 1 or 2%.

Berserker armor: Lowered sanity drain? (insignificant)
Decreased FOOD lost per health tick (-2 food now instead of -3 per 2 hp regained)
Armor Damage reduction down from 85% to 70%.

RECIPE CHANGES: All recipes changed.
Armor: Nightmare fuel 18, 12 cut stone (up), 10 mosquito sacks, and 25 stingers (up)
Helmet: 6 steel wool, 4 red gems (up), 25 hound tooths and 24 nightmare fuel. (up)
Cannonball recipe remains the same.
Dragonslayer: Cut stone up tremendously to 20, livings logs up from 4 to 6, Papyrus up from 4 to 8, and Nightmare fuel down to 16. (previously 23)
