Description

Baggage cars had a variety of uses on American railroads. The staff included a baggage clerk and his staff of handlers to handle shipping crates, mail bags, express packages, steamer trunks, and parcels. They hauled the load on a motorized wagon to the loading platform where strong backs heft the varied cargo onto the car. No. 9356 was retired in 1985 and is currently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg PA.

As you requested here is the baggage car to complete the set of PRR passenger coaches. I'm going to be working on the T1 for the next few weeks so stay tuned for that!

A beautiful baggage car. I remember seeing this specific car along with PRR 3750, 520, 1670 when I went to the RRMPA.

Serious question, what do you guys do to make these look so good? I keep looking at the vanilla heavyweight coaches and they just look off for reasons I just can't put my finger on. Is it the scale? Window arrangement?
