Inari Gunship

Description
Description

A simple to produce assault craft, utilised by the Inari Empire mainly to attack strategic targets on planets and moons. Using only inexpensive materials in its construction, the Inari Gunship is easy to run and maintain on even the most resource-scarce frontiers where more powerful ships can't operate.

The gunship is solid in combat, highly survivable if angled correctly to use its well armoured front and underside. Able to manoeuvre well in a range of atmospheric conditions, however it suffers from limited hang-time in gravity due to small power and fuel capacity, so it's best used as a spearhead unit rather than as reconnaissance. It has a respectable weapons compliment, notably with the ability for all guns to fire at frontal targets, but due to the design's focus on being inexpensive it can't stand up to anything fielding uranium-based ammunition.

The gunship is SSTO capable in standard gravity, so can act as a light cargo shuttle in the absence of dedicated transports.

I love the gritty, "cubed" art style your works have. It reminds me of the Alien franchise for example.

Surprised it doesn't have more subs. Subbed and upped.

@a chill Sith Acolyte 66 It'll take me a while, there are a variety of factors slowing me when it comes to larger ships. A) I don't find larger ships to be as viable in combat. No amount of armour can beat not being hit in the first place haha, and the larger you get the less you're able to dodge artillery. B) is just time/concentration/motivation. Building bigger is hard, I obsess over tiny areas and the bigger a ship is the more I struggle to keep going ( -_-)

Also, just a side note but the Oshika uses loads of DLC haha, in fact I think it uses more DLC than this gunship. I paid for the DLC and the blocks look cool, so I have no intention of holding back using them:)
