@Medic BF

Greetings, Sorry for the late reply. Yes you can use my mod. Go wild

If you need help, I’m willing to help out with your mod (Even if it is not related to scry discard)

Heyo! Me and my friend are creating a mod for a new character, which combines all of the cards and mechanics from the original 4, and mixes them together as if they were one big cohesive character. (For example, Berserk was changed to put you into Wrath, Claw works on all 0-cost attacks, etc.)

So, we had the idea of combining Scry and Discard, so scrying away Reflex draws cards. Just like your mod!

The problem...is that the two of us are VERY new to modding. We've done most of the mod ourselves, but we're really struggling how to make the Scry=Defend thing work. Do you mind helping us? Could we use the code from your mod to make new cards? You would be included in the credits of course, and I can't tell you how much time it would save us. Thanks in advance!

@ORLOX

I see that my mod isn't really clear about what it does, details added to description for people to understand better
Thank you for the comment

Ah, i got it after seeing the video like 4-5 times. This should be in the game by default.

"That's wond..."

If you had an excessive amount of time you can use a Java decompiler on the mods you use to see if the cards/relics in each mod use specifically ScryAction(). If they do then this will probably work

(I hope this mod doesn't cause other mods to crash)

Anyways, Sneaky Strike+Foresight Combo!

That's wonderful to hear. Because my heavily modded playthroughs tend to have lots of opportunities to grab cross-class cards and some mod I have adds a Discard archetype to the Silent, where the effects only trigger on discard. So this is a great mod to see come across my desk. I don't have to just Scry to get to my major draw/discard capable pieces, I can now use it as one of my activators. So cheers for making this.

"Does this code change affect other cards/classes that utilize discard effects, or is it hardcoded into just the vanilla discard effects?"

This mod changes the Scry effect in the base game to trigger discard effects

If another mod were to have
[A different Scry effect]
[A discard effect triggered in a different way]
Then this mod will do nothing

(I don't think other mods will include any of the above though, It's a hassle for little reward)

Otherwise, this mod will affect everything including other mods

"I love the art, if you drew it, good job! Also, I feel like this should've always been the case."

Thank you for the compliment on the art that I made

I agree that this should've been how Scry works when reading the text
(Maybe not Reflex and Tactician but I'm planning on doing something about it)
