Description
Overview
The HMS Erebus is a scout-class Icebreaker submarine equipped for a crew of 2-3 people. Icebreaker vessels saw extensive use in the early colonial period of Europa's Cold Caverns, though they have since fallen out of favor due to the colonists expansion into warmer oceans. As such, it is not uncommon to see an icebreaker submarine sold secondhand for a good price in Coalition waters. The Erebus is equipped with a fixed forward railgun and depth charge tube, along with two standard coilguns.

This is intended to be an alternative to the Dugong and is priced accordingly, being available at the beginning of a campaign. Whether I achieved that or not remains to be seen.

Background
This is in part inspired by the real life HMS Erebus, a ship which was part of the failed Franklin Expedition to the north of Canada. The Erebus along with the HMS Terror under the command of Sir John Franklin were searching for the fabled 'Northwest Passage', a hypothetical route around the north of Canada which would allow merchant vessels to navigate past the continent more conveniently than sailing around Argentina. At the time of the Third Franklin Expedition however, the Northwest Passage was not truly passable, and as a result the two ships became trapped in the glacier and were eventually abandoned by the crew. Not a single survivor is known to have lived through this expedition.

Icebreaker ship, exploring the far reaches of the world, freezing to death in the brutal ocean. I think you can see where I am going with this.

Get out there and the find that Northwest Passage, lad.

Back in my day we had to swim both ways to the objective with psychosis and no sonar, and we liked it!

For some reason the Gunnery room starts flooded and is unable to be solved by anything I do, I'm pretty sure this is a bug but if I'm wrong please correct me.

Theres no charging station or battery for this ship. Makes it difficult to manuveur when you lose power trying to redline to engine too hard. Also seems the AI has a slight difficulty getting around and repairing things, though that may just be the AI being dumb.

Sorry OP, realized I had a spelling error indicating the section it was in but looks like you found it. Glad it made for a quick fix. Honestly I am horrible in editor and a buddy of mine found it pretty quick. Thanks for the design!

This new modding refactor is a fucking nightmare. @Zarderxio Thank you for the info since I was not experiencing the problem myself in my testing and didn't know where it was coming from. Hopefully it is fixed as of now.

To fix the leak, open it in the editor, click view and check hulls. Look at the thin hull outline at the top of that section and increase the top two tics up so it overlaps the outside hull.

Fix hull pls

Awesome little ship, but it seems like the update broke something,it keeps getting hull breaches in gunnery but there's no damaged hull that I can find.

Kor Phaeron is just as much at fault. A bit of justice for Erebus!
