TVMnP Lo-1 Narrow Gauge Steam Locomotive

I tried to make the locomotive as realistic as practical in Stormworks. To start it, fill the firebox with coal and press "light fire". Then, open the water injector and wait for the water temperature to rise. Once it is above 100°C, the boiler pressure should rise. Then, the reverser can be set and the regulator slowly opened. The steam generator acts much like a light switch.


The TVMnP (Tovarna Vagonov Most na Plitvici) Lo-1, also known as the ŽK (Železnice Kljukovine) Series 3, was one of the first narrow gauge steam locomotives designed from the ground up for mainline use. Due to this, it had a large tender to increase range, and could reach good speeds, even while carrying heavy loads. The Lo-1 was also one of the largest and heaviest locomotives of its class at the time.

Despite this, a number of newly developed techniques that were never used on locomotives until then, combined with the extremely simple yet robust drivetrain, made it also very inexpensive to purchase and run.

The first units rolled off the assembly lines in 1877, and the Lo-1 was an instant success. As expected, it was a very popular mainline locomotive, but its simplicity and reliability also made it a popular choice for industrial and other small rail lines. Over many years, this locomotive became one of, if not the most produced narrow gauge steam locomotives in history, cementing the reputation of TVMnP and Trobarva as a narrow gauge railway works.
