Letting an AI faction control any of these settelments often crashes the game on their turn, probably when they try to build something there.
I would just disable the regions, but that requires that I click the settelments.
Oddly enough this doesn't happen in a new campaign.
I have a lot of mods enabled, so I admit i've brought this on myself.
I guess I just want to ask if it could be possible to affect a region/settelment by name.

Dont work. I've checked the spreadsheet, but probably reading it wrong. any ideas?
ALSO A REMINDER TO ALL!
The substantial monetary reward is still available for the discovery of the fix on this problem that has plagued the community for years.
Those look like standard event writing rather than error trapping. I don't think that helps. The last mod that writes to the log can get blamed for a crash even if the event written happened a long time before the crash.
Not sure when your crash is happening but I'd see about bisecting your modlist. Details on this page: https://tw-modding.com/index.php/Troubleshooting
