Another Ode To Home

Good morning y'all! Today, I bring you a new map based off a real life location, but with some changes so it's not exactly like said real life location. The location today is Delta County, Texas, and more specifically, Cooper, Texas.
Delta County is formed at the northern and southern borders by the North and South Sulphur Rivers. The southern fork of the Sulphur River leads into Jim Chapman Lake (aka Cooper Lake), the large lake at the southern end of the map here. The original heightmap was centered over Cooper but did not contain the Northern fork of the river, so I free-handed it to the best of my ability. Other than the lakes and most of the terrain, this is a (mostly) custom made map. The road placement is not like it is in real life, and some terrain features such as the hill next to the lake near the center, Big Creek Lake, don't exist in real life. The small body of water in the starting tile doesn't exist in real life either, it only exists here to fulfill the map editor requirements.

Now as for Cooper itself, it's a small town located about 90 minutes northeast of Dallas, and about 30 minutes south of Paris (where I already made a map of). The nearest town is Commerce, home of Texas A&M University Commerce. From my experience here, it's a nice quiet little town, which makes this map perfect for the city builders who want to make smaller towns. The town in real life has just under 2 thousand people, while the county itself has about 5 thousand people.

I added fertile land and ore as resources, mostly fertile land since the county was a cash crop hub back in the day but ore as well to compliment some ore areas in other parts of eastern TX.

There are numerous road connections, 2 rail connections, 4 plane connections, and 0 ship connections here. While tha map is almost vanilla, the Mass Transit expansion is an absolute must have, as well as Tree Anarchy or any other mod which supports unlimited trees, as the map has over 550k+ trees. All trees are the vanilla ones created by MrMaison so thanks for the trees goes to him. The theme used was the Stray Cats Territory Plains theme. I've listed it in the requirements but it's not an absolute 100% requirement.

Special thanks goes to MrMaison for the trees, BonBonB for the map reviews which have helped guide me to create better maps, and to anyone who takes the time out of their day to give this a shot!
Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns, and don't forget to give my work a thumbs up if you like it! Thank y'all and have a good day! :D

@Duraldo Yep, it's just east of Commerce and just north of Sulphur Springs! It's kinda out of the way from the interstate but it's very much a nice little area and a nice little town :D

This near sulfer springs or anything to do with that area? I camped there 18 years ago, and it was about 90 minutes NE of Dallas...... I do remember Commerce being out there.... and a town Cumby which we kept making jokes about the entire time b/c we're kids and boys.... lol

@alfonsoamiguel hmm... if you don't have it, get Ship Path Anarchy. I had that glitch while making a map after this one and that mod helped me be able to finish the ship connection :D

I tried, but when I'm close to the edge of the map, it says water is required. which is weird cause water is there lol.

@alfonsoamiguel Thanks! Looking back on it, it probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to add something but I didn't because of it being a far inland location and the big water just being a lake irl and overall me just wanting to keep it realistic. However, there are mods which can make it possible to add ship routes in the game, namely More Network Stuff by BloodyPenguin IIRC. :)
