Escape From Garry's Mod is a off-brand version of the game that every masochist adores!

Here's a quick rundown on playing the gamemode:

Before you go into a raid, it is best to get a feel for the lobby! While in the lobby, you can:

• Stash away weapons or items for safe keeping
  
• Buy weapons and gear from the F4 menu
  
• Sell gear from the buttons near the spawn room
  
• Test out firearms at the makeshift firing range

To enter a raid, find the table at the end of the hallway, and press the button that sits on it!

In-Raid Gameplay

After spawning into a raid, you can kind of just do whatever the ♥♥♥♥ you want, but there are a few things that most people will go after:

• Killing other players
  
• Finding guns/armor
  
• Completing tasks (once the task mechanic is done)

When another player is killed, they will drop all of the gear that they had on them, as well as any weapon attachments they may have had.

When you want to exit a raid, you will need to find an extraction point, these vary from each map.

Press your Spawn Menu key bind to check your extracts, find one that is currently activated and stand in it to extract out of the map.

Controls

Before playing, we recommend that you set certain key binds from the in game console to keep up with other players.

• bind q +alt1 (lets you lean to the left when the Q key is pressed.)
  
• bind e +alt2 (lets you lean to the right when the E key is pressed.)
  
• bind g +drop (lets you drop the item that is currently in your hands.)

The rest of these key bindings depend on your Garry's Mod key bindings, these can be changed in the settings menu.

• OPENING THE ATTACHMENTS MENU! (C by default, Context Menu in the GMOD settings.)
  
• Toggle tactical (lasers/flashlights) (F by default, Flashlight in the GMOD settings.)
  
• Switch fire mode (B by default, Suit Zoom in the GMOD settings.)
  
• Toggle between sights (for hybrid optics) (Double press E by default, Use items in the GMOD settings.)
  
• Toggle underbarrel attachments (Double press B by default, Suit Zoom in the GMOD settings.)
  
• Zoom in/out with your optic (Mouse-wheel up/down by default.)

Menus

To access the menu, press F4 (the default bind for Server Customizable Spare 2 in the GMOD settings.) While in this menu, you can buy weapons/gear, check your stats, see your progress towards tasks, or read the help page.

You can only access the shop and start new tasks while IN the lobby, these will not work while in-raid

Inventory

The inventory lets you store more weapons while decluttering your hot bar. The other use for the inventory is to loot the gear off of killed players.

To open the inventory, press F3 (the default bind for Server Customizable Spare 1 in the GMOD settings.) OR press the I key.

You can store up to 10 items in the inventory at once, you can also drop items, check your ammo, or transfer items from/to your hot bar from here.

Looting

Looting weapons and armor is easy, just press your interact key (E by default) while looking in the general direction of the item.

Looting players is a little different though, go up and press the interact key on the backpack that spawns at their dead body, this will open up a special version of the inventory menu.

From here, you can loot the other players weapons, items, and ammo. The weapons you loot from them will be put into your inventory, and you will need to move it to the hot bar in the inventory menu to use them.
