As the Exploration team follow the river of lava, they came across a large lava lake and found this creature that seems to be using the lava to melt the rock around the lake and expanding it. The scientist with them speculates that "the creature seems to use that lava to melt down the rock and swallow it, and must have some special organ to extract the nutrients from it."

They would want to inspect this creature closer but the lava and it's size makes that impossible.

And they named it a "Magma Worm" due to it's appearance of being long like a worm and expand the lake using the lava.
