Introduction (why I did this + guide on some words)
First things first: This guide IS not intended to offend anyone on this community (but by getting offended you'll be one of the people mentioned on this guide lol), this guide has screenshots of comments and conversations from specific people, but are intended to be used in a general manner.

This guide was basically made to act as a document, and to show the behavior of this special species of homosapiens called (dark souls fans).

Near the end of the guide you'll find a guide for certain words which will be highlighted inside the guide itself.
WARNING
This guide contains large amounts of text (enough to make your remember your days at school)
and content that maybe offensive to some people, so read it at your own discretion.
Basic qualities of a souls fan
Souls fans are quite volatile and agressive upon encountering another homosapiens and in fact, they'll try to verbally abuse it until they feel superior.
They also seem to have something with from software (maybe a fetish? I'm not sure).
The tsundere fan
This type of dark souls fan is known for being called ''bipolar''(see bipolar on the word guide below) or ''edgy kid''(see edgy kid on the word guide below) but I usually call them ''tsundere''(see tsundere on the word guide below) because of their bipolar behaviors. They basically act all tough and edgy, as if they hate the souls games but in the end they're the most passionate about them and are just dissapointed on from software
The hopeful one
This kind of souls fan believes that the souls games still have hopes and that they'll be saved by from software, as such, they're the first ones to kiss their feet and usually have a relatively low hour count (hour count basically indirectly shows how used they are to this community).
The ''smooth'' and ''cool'' souls fan
This kind of souls fan is known for usually answering to many people in a way that people consider ''smooth'' or ''cool'', thanks to that they're known for being quite charismatic and having their own cult following behind them. So far they seem to have narcisistic behaviors and believe that whatever they say is better than anything else someone is about to say, as such, it's impossible to argue with them unless you hurt their ego.
The maiden funny man
This kind of souls fan jokes at his own (and others!) lack of ''maidens''(see maidens on the word guide below) and have fun with it, they seem to be some of the most normal kind of souls fans so far as they don't seem to have clear downsides nor upsides besides being clearly annoying.

The git gud man
This type of souls fan has great pride of the group he's in and will remember the good ol' days by saying the mighty but dusty words ''git gud'' which while they had a meaning before they were stripped from it years ago as they were overused.

The dark souls 2 fan
Oh god I talked about you guys please don't kill me I actually love dark souls 2 please This kind of souls fan is known for mentioning dark souls 2 and how amazing it is at any moment, at any place, at any time. I've heard a friend of mine (Xenopsychosis) has a cult made entirely of these people, which is scary, but I'm sure it'll be fine.

Oh, and they also don't care about whatever you say about DS2 nor if you dislike it, they'll keep existing.
The paranoid one
This kind of souls fan believes that everything happening in souls games is a conspiracy, these people are many and hard to manage. It's better to leave them alone believing their own lies.
WTF
I really just wanted to post this in here. But seriously, wtf?
The desperate one
This screenshot has been taken a few days after the souls games online had been taken down, so it's a highly volatile piece.

Do I need to say anything? No? Okay.
The one that accepted fate
This kind of souls fan has accepted the fate of the souls games and prefers to take them in a calm manner. They seem to have that mentality of ''if you don't have high expectations you won't ever get dissapointed'' but that's just a theory.
The parent.
The one that's actually relatively normal (OH GOD FINALLY)
This kind of souls fan it's relatively normal and caring for his friend, that's it.
The dissapointed and paranoid (can fit in both but I would call him an overthinker)
This kind of souls fan is dissapointed on the situation the souls games are having and will give his opinion on a relatively calm manner.
I don't really know how to call these people so I'll just go with the screenshots

The mentally deranged one
This kind of souls fan sadly has hollowed and seeks his grace once lost as if it was the attention
their parents never gave them, it's interesting to watch them.

Omastar
Omastar. No really, I don't know how to describe him, WHY IN HELL IS HE IN THIS COMMUNITY HE'S SO WHOLESOME OH GOD.

The pvp high ''tech'' fan
This kind of souls fan is specialized in making people hate him by using unintended mechanics in the game for his own advantage (glitches) and calling them ''tech''(see tech on the word guide below). Some people do this to get the feeling of progression the souls games give you and feel as if they've gotten better in some way, but most of these people seem to either have narcisistic behaviors and think that what they're doing is right (which by the way, isn't right or wrong. It's just morally wrong to do it) and harm the community. Some of them will try to justify themselves talking about glitches in videogames and their uses in tournaments or speedrunning which in the end justifies nothing and only shows how glitches became of common use in many games.
Thank you Lord Gwyn for providing this one screenshot, it's greatly appreciated (I won't post your profile since I haven't asked you, but you're a madlad beyond human reckoning).

The kind PvPer
This kind of souls fan is a kind PvPer that accepts he lost and comments on your profile a kind comment, these are also people that scream masculinity, so look out for that.
The guy that actually understands PvP
This kind of souls fan is aware of the pros and cons about PvP and doesn't care about the hate he'll end up recieving in the long term, as it just proves his point.
The cheater hater
This kind of souls fan hates how online videogames ended up turning out, and as the ashen one it is, it's obsessed with cheaters with a burning passion.

The hatemailer.
This kind of souls fan seems to have narcisistic behaviors and a weak tolerance to anything they dislike (that because of their bloated and deformed moral compass). They seem to get angry when they lose and not know how to express it on a calm manner, and as such, they'll comment agressively on your profile or your DMs and seek an excuse to hate you (I honestly get most of the hate I get since it's because of how my net is as weak as the chances for WinRar to make sales).
The one in the international space station
Hey! It's me!This kind of souls fan has a net that can reach atrocious numbers, allowing them to have unfair advantages such as frameskipping (I won't define that, just split the word in half), teleports that make the fight look like a Dragon Ball Z fight, etc. A known theory is that they live on the international space station, which makes sense to me, but I feel threathened by that thought.
The lore fan
This kind of souls fan has quite the irrational and unusual behavior regarding lore, with them praising the lore of the souls games as if they were a FighterPL fan(see FighterPL fan on the word guide below). The user lovecraft's cat gave quite the insight onto their behavior.

One famous user you may know is (as lovecraft's cat stated) VaatiVidya, he makes lore videos about the souls games and seems almost paranoid with the slightest move that a character does in game or in a cutscene, making him quite the dangerous person to interact.

Here we see an example of his madness, poor guy, he's trying to seek every glimpse of lore he can find just to feel enriched by it's energy.
How to be a part of them
To be a souls fan you need to perform an ancient rite called: Getting a jester award on Steam. This ritual it's quite easy to perform and only requires you to say something spicy in any place related to Dark Souls or Elden Ring.
Word guide I promised
-Bipolar: This word has multiple meanings (as for example the bipolar disorder which is a mental illness that makes the person have almost like a second personality every while and then. Or the common use which is used to call people that change suddenly their behavior almost like the disorder, but on a more casual manner like: ''Johnny was so calm a few minutes ago! Why is he so agressive even!?''. I have a theory that those people are angry about something, but they don't even know why they're angry about it anymore. I use the literal meaning (with that I'm refering to splitting in half the word ''bi'' as two and ''polar'' as being in completely opposite sides, or could we say polar opposites??). I think there is a grammatical error, so please find it, thank you.

-Edgy kid: This sentence is basically used by people to label other people as them being ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ just to try n' be cool (which they really aren't, they're just annoying, and they should stop). Usually these people have low self steem and try very hard to be different, yet everyone is doing the same thing to act cool.

-Tsundere: Character with a personality who is initially cold, stern, stoic, harsh, temperamental, hotheaded (and sometimes even hostile) before gradually showing a warmer, friendlier side over time.

-Maidens: This word surely relates to how women acted a few hundred years ago (basically being slaves, or maidens, as this word states)but dark souls wise, it's refered to having female contact. souls fans are an endangered species because there aren't many female ones, and thanks to that most souls fans will laugh at their fate by using this word. Oh, and they also use it to label people.

-Tech: Apparently souls fans ever since glitches became common ground both in PvE and in PvP they started calling them ''tech'' which is a way to standardize glitches and great them as non harming to the game in the long term. This only shows how deranged the moral compass of souls fans had turned out after so many years.

-FighterPL fan: These people are a cult following to the known souls content creator FighterPL. They seem to praise him irrationally, copy all of his tactics in the souls games (but in a worse way because they just see how to perform the kill) and try to protect him from any harm. These people will do anything to feel the same power, the same energy, the same life Ludwig once felt by using the moonlight greatsword in Bloodborne, and as such, they always fail since they're usually pretty young and have no knowledge of their enviroment.
Special thanks
The Steam forums for existing.
