Description
'Ja, Ich Bin.. Hotdog.'

One of my biggest projects in a while, I'm proud to introduce the beta for 1976 Frankfurt an der Oder. This map was interesting to work on, as many of the buildings that were added were almost all hand-made by me, as well as the modernization of what was a generic town.

Features:
- The old town where the church once stood is now Sublice, the Polish next-door neighbors. The town has border buildings accurate of the timeline, as well as 2 apartment complexes, adding a total of 6 residential rooms to the town. There are also 3 shops, a small troop barracks building, and a Militia station complete with 2 offices and 3 jail cells.

- The river was greatly expanded, as to allow bigger boats and easier sight of illegals attempting to escape.

- The DDR border buildings include a customs office, and a vehicle shed. Both based on actual buildings.

- The river-side INN has had its foyer enlarged, new capreting in its rooms, and a big ol' window for the food hall.

- The old Italian bar/strip club (Don't ask) has been renovated into the towns archives building. This property includes its usual basement, 5 offices, and a meeting room. This building can find good use as a generic ministry building.

- The town plaza has had its old fountain tore out and replaced with a crappy monument, based on an actual monument from the city. The plaza benches have also been changed.

- The courthouse has been razed and replaced with the FDJ theater. Built in the 1950s, it includes a main foyer, banquet hall, a public washroom, and a large stage area complete with balcony seating. Once again based on an actual building in the city.

- The old NSDAP building has been tore down (For obvious reasons), and replaced with a bed and breakfast hotel, which is based on a stalinist era building which is also a hotel. Includes a bar, a nicely sized foyer, and 4 rooms.

- The Polizei station is now offically apart of the Volkspolizei. It has had several facelifts in the garage, first and second floor, as well as a new bathroom in the foyer. Includes 2 new offices, and a small meeting room.

- A secularist structure has replaced that weird building by the vopo station, the Oderturm! Completed the same year as the Palace of the Republic, it is the site of a department store, which includes 9 shop stalls.

- The bank has been replaced by the Frankfurt Oder Post Office, a beautiful neo-gothic structure. Includes a new office and a re-done foyer.

- The generic 2-story shop opposite of the vopo station has had its second floor overhauled. It now includes breakable and see-through windows, and a better roof.

- The fire station has been renovated, and is no longer a fire station. It now houses 1 shop, and a small complex with 3 rooms.

- The old railway tracks have been decommissioned, replaced by a BRAND NEW AUTOBAHN SYSTEM, going as far as the end of the forest. At the cost of a generic road, this highway aims to fix up the traffic problems many servers have had in the past.

- The old gas station property was bought out and demolished to make way for a new VED Minol gas station.

- And finally, the SS HQ building has been demolished, making way for a new STASI office and prison complex! The property also includes a courtyard with a gate, 3 cells, an interrorgation room, and several offices.
