Description
I received a request to redo the Aperture Scout I posted a while ago. To make it so the pack was removable and that his hat was the colour of the original scout. So after some revamping I decided to go one step further and tried to make the head meet HWM standards. (as close as I currently know how to do.) I chopped its head off and replaced it with the HWM head and materials, then did some remodeling. As a result, I am pleased to present this version.

This model has Phoneme, Emotion and Viseme Presets. As such it accepts wav Phoneme extraction and still has its original scout animations intact.

I remodelled it with BodyGroups so it can be hatless, DogTagless, and/or Packless. Then I added and reskinned the Headset Group and made that a BodyGroup part with movable mic as well. Each is its own bodygroup so as you see in the pictures you can mix up what or turn off an item and load out from the TF2 Scout Mics Items and Hats.

This model has 8 skins; Red and Blue and invunerables for each with the normal aperture black hat, the Red and blue with invunerables for each with the hat coloured as per the normal TF2 Scout.

This model also includes the winkle and stretch maps for the head and it also works with the SFM stock Rig_Biped_Simple Rig.

Model and material names are stand-a-lone with the exception of the eyeballs (which pull from the TF2 shared materials folder), so it should not interfere with any other model in your library (yes, even the standard player of the Aperture Scout I converted from GMod and posted earlier. (Found here https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=249973376 ) You should be able to subscribe to both and use them without problems in the same clip.)

This is as close to HWM as I can do.

@.IG There have been too many subs for me to fix the tounge. If I were to update the model, it would pooch any SFM animated shot ppl have used it in. So no, I will not be fixing this model to have a tongue.

if not, someone put up a enhanced HWM Chell model, and it has a tongue, so maybe you could copy and paste the code for the tongue from that to the HWM Scout? That's my theory at least.

Pte Jack are you going to fix the tongue thing? Or don't you know how?

R_U Sirus1 I dont know what it stands for, but HWM are models that are compatible with phoneme extraction from audio. For Example, if I talk right now and make a audio file and import it into source filmmaker, I could right click the Aperture Scout in edit animation set and extract the phonemes from the audio file so his lips move like mine were.

What does HWM mean? I'm literally completely new at this.

There is a workshop bug when downloading models that share original materials.

When offered to replace materials select yes to all. If you say no or no to all, the model breaks. These material will not replace the original ones in the tf folder if you say yes to all so there is no worry about that.

To fix, Unsub the model and allow SFM to clear it, then resub and click Yes To All when you're offered to replace materials. Once it's down give it another try.
