Small Stone Cottage

The small Stone Cottage takes inspiration from a cabin where Henry Thoreau stayed from 1845 to 1847, Henry at the time was 25 years old and built the 150 sq ft cabin on the shores of Walden Pond. Walden Pond is located about 2 miles south of Concord Mass. From this spot he wrote most of his most famous work including a life in the woods.


The cottage is simple by nature, but follows a story that is heavily invested in nature with numerous plants and stepping stones around the structure, Obviously you can make it what you want, my plantings are simply to achieve a starting look. I plan to put three or four then around a lodge yet to be done and a natural water feature with either otter or Beaver.
