This is the OA-1A (Observation Attack) Kittyhawk, a single piston-engined light attack/COIN aircraft. This particular aircraft has been nicknamed "THE THRONGLER" by its flight crew². This is intended to improve on the attack capabilities of the earlier RA-1 Kestrel, and has obvious design lineage.

The maximum level speed is about 83 M/S, although with the load I've given it it looks more like 77. Handling is average, and the stall speed is about 45 M/S. Takeoff rotation is about 50 M/S because wheels in stormworks are STUPID and the front wheel needs more force to be "unstucked" from the ground. Somewhat stable in all control axes, and has good STOL ability. A little rear heavy :/

Wheel brakes allow about 25% throttle maximum while stationary, I typically do about 20-30% throttle for taxi. Can reverse propeller pitch for extra braking.

Holds a little over 1350 L of diesel, giving good range (yes, I am too lazy to test the range, but it consumes like 1 L per 3 seconds so about an hour-ish of endurance??). Fuel hose connections are between the tail stripe and the backseat door. Electrical connection is right next to the tailstripe.

The armament I've loaded on this vehicle consists of two light autocannons mounted in pods, 2 pairs of small rocket pods, and 4 short-range guided bombs. I did not make these bombs because I am lazy³. The small window square below the gunsight HUD serves as a good aim window for the bombs, try to launch them at/below 1000 metres from a target, and from a shallow (or deep) dive.

The backseat houses a radio operator, controlling a Huge Radio (range: 20 km). Basic audio send-receive capability.

For ground-support purposes, this aircraft has illumination parachute flares mounted below, 14 total launched in pairs. Also features 7 loads of chaff for mild defense against AA threats.
