Description
RP_Brumal_Cruiser is a take on the rp_venator_vfinal in Halo form. Made with more Halo-esk textures. Better sound systems. Slightly softer 'human' lighting. And some other small tweaks here and there.

Brumal definition: Another word for the winter season.

The point of this project was to give the Halo Community as a whole a ship that really suits every need they would really need wile being in a starbox rather than always above one single location. I already did this for the CWRP community, now Halo gets theirs.



Map Itself
  • Requires nothing
  • Comes with a NodeGraph for easier load in
  • NavMeshed
  • Accommodate 128 players
  • Hyper optimization (nearly every room is optimized to only render that one room when the door closes) Ontop of prop & ent render distances, and chunk load areas.

Rooms
  • Dedicated quarantine zone to medbay (can contain the T-virus from gbombs)
  • Chemlab/annex
  • Messhall/OOC lounge
  • Court room
  • Gravity generator
  • Aux Generator
  • Alot of bunks space
  • A good sized debriefing room thats located right underneath bunks
  • Multi-purpose rooms (side rooms located on 1st floor to be used for anything)
  • Armory/Supply room
  • A dedicated brig - 6 cells, 2 solitary, 2 VIP, prison cell. "in use" lights just outside the cells.
  • GameMaster room - can control everything. requires Noclip, located behind Main Cargo Bay (MCB)
  • Full 4 region sim rooms (Env-Sims), fit with campaign mode with it. and spectating section.
  • Unique Citadel Sim (based of starwars, but who cares)
  • Sandbox Sim (Called the 'Big Empty' by most) is just a massive open room to play with dupes
  • 4 individual navy offices

  • 2 navy bunks (enlisted and officer)

  • A multi-purpose room for navy

Features
  • Every sim can be run at the same time (x4 env-sims, cit, sandbox) if enough people want to run them
  • Windows looking into space
  • Engine room located outside map to help performance
  • A better way to contain new players - comes with a "need trainer, please" button.
  • Some areas are now color coded to keep players from trespassing.
  • Blast doors added to access halls to divert players to other ways to getting to other floors (for event purposes, activated only via GM-room)
  • Added background sounds to make ship feel more alive, such as the sound of active computers and air vents.
  • Quick response hallway connecting 1st floor mid section to MHB, doors control in CC (Cargo Control)
  • Working bacta LLS tanks in medical
  • Connected the MCB and SHBs
  • The main engine core can melt-down like a nuclear power plant
  • Normal players with grav guns (not phys guns) can fix the core when it explodes
  • Silent alarm board added to security section to call security better
  • Slipspace drive

Q: "Can you mark the buttons so we know what were pressing?"
A: They are marked, and show in single player. Additionally, [TSF] Mason will come around at some point to help you set up the map, or you can ask for him through the discord below.




There are TWO meltdown methods
Soft:
The Engine Rooms Melt Down feature is run on timers, and a heavy plug. Pull the main plug and the meltdown will take about 42seconds to start, or pull the switch in the GM-room.
IF THERE IS ANY ISSUE WITH THE PLUG, JUST JAM A CHAIR INTO THE SOCKET!
You can repair the core by sending in Engineers with Gravity guns (not physguns) to put the plug back inside.

Hard:
Everything from above, but things will start to explode, and there is no way to stop it. its for 'lost ship' events.

The only time iv seen this happen before was in the rp_venator_vfinal map a long time ago, so the best i can say is that the problem is a multiplayer adjective. it runs in multiplayer without issue but was having some kind of issue with singleplayer, and i dont know why or how.

try starting a local game. see how that goes.

Me too. It keeps crashing.
Even removing all add-ons does not solve the problem.
Developers need to resolve this serious issue.

disable all addons, some addon in single player used by CW communities causes some kind of CTD error. no idea what it is, happens to me too.
But theres no crashing in multiplayer from that same addon. weird
