P-116 Calisto Harbour Patrol Boat

Description

DESCRIPTION

The P-116 “Calisto” Harbour Patrol Boat is a high-speed patrol craft of the Newquay Coastguard, designed to quickly be able to respond to any incident on the water, be that a pursuit of a suspect vessel or a casualty evacuation, as well as escort of Newquay Naval Vessels. The “Calisto” was designed after the P-113 “Bandit”, the mainstay of the Newquay Coastguard, was found to be somewhat unstable at high speeds, and a solution was required. The solution was the “Calisto”, capable of economical operation at speeds of up to 80 knots, and the “Ganymede” for a more blue water capability. The base design of the “Calisto” has also proved successful with Law Enforcement, Fire & Rescue Services, and the Civilian market. With a suitable trailer the P-116 can be towed on land, allowing for rapid deployment to landlocked lakes.

Not sure if I'm missing something, but tried to refuel the Callisto and instead it drained the tank?

yeah it was strange..I was in high gear for about 15km, not quite max revs on calm sea, normal enigne temps and suddenly fire. I killed everything and ran the extinguishers. Restarted and could only run at about 10-15 knots. I figured I blew the transmission rather than the engine as they still worked - I am new to stormworks tho, so that may not be a possibility. Anyway its a great boat, thanks for your hard work.. i shall run her a tad more easily for here

@[aCe] Goose, you must have pushed the engine way beyond its limits as I have never managed to blow up the engine, so I guess well done. As for maintenance, there is no access to that area unless you can get luck and fix it from what I guess you could call the hood/bonnet

is there any way to make repairs? I was gunning it in high speed gear and somthing blow and now I'm crawling and can't mind a maintainance hatch
