Description
This Long Island Railroad map covers the Main Line east of Jamaica Station to Ronkonkoma and several other branch lines. This simulation is strictly based on the January 2020 Long Island RR timetable with very small changes made to adapt it to Rail Route.

The morning rush is mostly westbound traffic with a few eastbound revenue and deadhead trains mixed in. Other than the Main Line to Ronkonkoma, there are four other branch lines featured on this map: the Hempstead Branch (Steward Manor), Oyster Bay Branch (Albertson), Port Jefferson Branch (Huntington) and the Central Branch.

At the beginning of the simulation, traffic will steadily build unit the peak at 7:00. Between 7:00 and 8:00, track 2 starts to run westbound trains between Hicksville and Queens Village. Track 2 is also used for some westbound trains from Farmingdale, Bethpage and Hicksville (track 3) so keep an eye on which track they stop at. Before and after this time, it is possible some westbound trains take track 2 partially in order to pass other trains on track 1. I will let you figure out which track trains take!

You will see three pairs of eastbound deadhead trains which head to the Oyster Bay Branch, Hick Relay and Hicksville (track 1). Keep an eye on their station timing because some may hold for other trains to pass prior to relaying back west. Several deadheads also spawn from Ronk East and skip Ronkonkoma to head further west for their first station stop.

This one was a lot of fun to work on and should be a challenging but rewarding map to play through. Good luck and have fun!
