EMD E5 Burlington Route Commuter Red

The Burlington Route, formally known as the Chicago, Burlington, and Quincy Railroad, was a Class I railroad that operated in the Midwest of the United States. The company merged with Northern Pacific and Great Northern Railroad to form the Burlington Northern Railroad.

This train is modeled after their EMD E5 series of locomotives similar to other early E units in shape there were notable differences in the roof vents and on the nose. The passenger train is based off the many commuter trains the Burlington Route ran in Chicago in the second half of the 20th Century.

This train is very special as it is the first release with my updated locomotive for the EMD E5s, I went back and redid a lot of the modeling and texture work to bring them up to my standards now and making them overall better looking. Wheelsets, Fluting, Rivets and roof have all been revisited and modeled out to show more detail.





Comes with custom sound effects for movement and horn.
imported with a prototype mod to reduce the texture compression in game so the file size is large

Train functions as a regular passenger train and being 4 cars long it actually fits in vanilla stations which is rare for me.
