SpaceBuild Infestors Remake

If you've ever played an older version of spacebuild, you would see a entity known as an "Infestor". They would appear as bugbait modeled entities that would grow and multiply across the map, turning into new types of Infestors with unique abilities.



This addon was made to remake this SENT and improve upon some things.

They work in the same way, slowly growing and taking over whatever they can find, but here are some changes.

-NPC's see Infestors as hostile, and Infestors will attack NPC's if they can.
-New Infestor forms added.
-Are simple to take out but can regrow fast.
-Can attach to Players, NPC's, Props, and other physical entities.
-If you enable ignore players they will not attack you.




There are 2 types of infestor classes. Stationary and Mobile forms.
Mobile forms can chase after NPC's and Players, and can start other infestations at different locations.
But Stationary forms stay still and spread across the area.

Infestor Stationary classes are:

Infestor Spreader forms: The main type of Infestor, spreads across the map and produce all other forms.

Infestor Seedlings: Small egg like classes that grow into Spreader Forms, will explode with acid if shot at.

Infestor Factory: Produces Spore/Roller forms when a enemy is near.

Infestor Needler: Fires Needle forms when a enemy is near.

Infestor Bomber: Fires Bomb forms when a enemy is near.

Infestor Launcher: Fires a large amount of Acid forms when a enemy is near.




Infestor Mobile classes are:

Infestor Rollers/Mobile-forms: Will roll around and attack enemies. If it consumes a ragdoll it produces spores.

Infestor Drones: Like the Rollers but can turn basically anything into more drones. they despawn after a few seconds.

Infestor Spores: Aerial forms that do less damage but are faster. If it consumes a ragdoll it produces Spreader Forms.

Infestor Needle: Like the Spores but dies on impact.

Infestor Bombs: Like the rollers but explode with acid apon hitting a target.

Infestor Acid: Does a lot of damage but dies on impact, can melt bodies.



Addon is not fully complete and I might take suggestions from the comments.

The mobility and base code for the Infestors is from the hostile melons addon made by n0va. I do not take credit for any of the base code and I will take this addon down if n0va says so.


This addon was made for me and my friends mostly, but I decided to upload it publicly anyways.


UPDATE 1:

-Infestor Seedlings don't latch onto things anymore.

-Infestor Spreaders grow faster now

-Fixed Infestor Launchers and updated the way they work.

-Nerfed Infestor Bombers.


UPDATE 2:

Update 2 will come soon, it will optimize Infestors a bit more and will add some other improvements.
It will also probably add new Infestor types and fix some bug issues.
