The MCRN heavy frigate developed in tandem with the Morrigan Donnager and Corvette class was developed to fill a gap in the MCRN fleet structure, that of a torpedo destroyer. The Heavy frigate carried what could be considered and overkill number of torpedoes so that it could overwhelm the PDC grids of most any UNN warship, using both its large complement of torpedoes and superior guidance and range to safely dispatch any ship from a distance. The ship in close range is no slouch either. Having a rather impressive point defence grid, additional augmented by its torpedo complement, able to be used to shoot down incoming torpedoes before they even enter PDC range.
