(Ropewalk Rolling Cross Armbreaker)

Is this technique just a way to show off or a method of paying homage to those who have come before you? It is both, but it's also a way of adding a little extra something to a fairly normal (if not effective) move. That is, "walking the tightrope" will demonstrate your athleticism and remind one of your famous predecessors. However, if springing off of the top rope into a rolling armbar nearly tears the muscles of your enemy's arm apart before you even lock in the submisssion hold, that's great too!
