Description
My version of the Lockheed P-38 Lightning.

It's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

The is the L model with more powerful engines and reinforced wings so it was able to carry a considerable bomb load. It's armed with 4 machine guns and one 20 mm automatic cannon (the bigger "machine gun") in the nose and carries 8 500lb bombs under the wings.
It's a bit nose heavy at low speeds with the bomb load so be careful on take-off.

Alt controls to fly.
W/S: Variable throttle.
S: Ground brakes.
A/D: Ground steering and yaw.
Up/Down arrow: Pitch.
Left/Right arrow: Roll.
X/Disable steering: Landing gear.
Fire action 1/Num 1: Machine guns and cannon.
Fire action 2-5/Num2-5: Drop bombs in pairs.
L/Headlights: Landing lights.

Check out my Lockheed P-38J Lightning pure fighter and my Lockheed P-38L Lightning w Rockets too.

Glad you like the engines and the rest of it. :)

Since you can't cut off shapes in the game (yet) certain IRL shapes are really tricky to emulate. I'm sure others can do a better job (feel free to try) but I just don't have the patience to spend 5-10 hours and use dozens of tiny parts twisted in all sorts of angles to get one part of the plane juuust so, hence the comment about it being an approximation and not a 1:1 replica.
At least it works well. ;)

Rest of the plane is quite good but the nose is kinda iffy, Still a good job tho!
