Elkins, West Virginia

Elkins is a city in and the county seat of Randolph County, West Virginia, United States. The community was incorporated in 1890 and named in honor of Stephen Benton Elkins, a U.S. Senator from West Virginia. The population was 7,017 at the 2020 census

This map includes one community other than Elkins in Randolph County.

• Water source: Tygart Valley River and and numerous unnamed lakes (Shaver's fork of the Cheat River wasn't added as it's only in the northeast corner of the map for a short distance)
  
• Road connections: US-48, US-250 & US-33 west of Elkins (Corridor-H), US-33 east of Elkins, US-219 & US-48 north of Elkins (Corridor-H) and US-250 & US-219 south of Elkins
  
• Rail connections: None added as only a tourist railroad serves the former Western Maryland tracks
  
• Air connections: one north-south and one east-west line
  
• Ship connections: No navigable rivers
