Description
This is a version of the map with only 2 main line trains with no liveries, so more computers can run the map.

Stevens Point, WI USA is centrally located in the state of Wisconsin on the Wisconsin River encompassing the intersection of Interstate 39 and U.S. Highway 10 in Portage County. Home of Point Beer and the World's Largest Trivia Contest. This map contains all of the dual track section that runs through the area which is just over 5 miles. With the loop-back, there is over 40 miles of scale track laid out in this map. Not including the Main, the Yard is 30 tracks wide in the middle. This map includes some of the commercial, industrial, and residential areas adjacent to the tracks.

The Wisconsin Central completed the original railroad shops in Stevens Point in 1876. The 3 primary buildings were the machine car shop, a roundhouse, and a paint shop. The structures have changed over the years due to fires and modernization. The roundhouse still has part of the old stone structure. On the far west side of the map, you will find the Black Iron Bridge, constructed in 1914 by the Wisconsin Central Railway. The bridge in game is slightly different from real life because there is not a model I could scale to the length of the segments. In 1918, the SOO Line Railroad Depot was constructed just west of the machine shop on the map. The area was part of the Wisconsin Central Railway / Railroad from 1897 to 1961. In 1961, the Wisconsin Central was merged into the SOO Line. The SOO Line operated in the area until 1987 when the SOO sold off all of its assets, and The Wisconsin Central Ltd. was formed taking over all of the original Wisconsin Central Railway’s rights of way. The Wisconsin Central Ltd. was in operation until 2001 when it was sold to the Canadian National Railway which owns the line till this day.

I have always wanted to see something local in a video game , so I am very grateful that Franks has created a game that gives you the ability to create such detailed worlds surrounding trains. It’s also great to see the mods put out by people in the community, and a special thanks to microcosmologist and Jotrain Gamer, who created a large number of mods in this map.
This map is my first, so the road was long, but I think you will enjoy it.
