Infantry Compositions

Description
This composition brings you a section of a light infantry unit, more specifically the British Rifles Regiment in the new Virtus combat gear, as per the 2019 UK's infantry battle order[www.battleorder.org]

A platoon is composed by a Platoon Headquarters and 3 rifle sections under its command.

Platoon Headquarters:
  • Platoon Commander: Second Lieutenant/Lieutenant (OF-1), armed with L85 assault rifle
  • Platoon Sergeant: Sergeant (OR-6), armed with L85 assault rifle
  • Signaller/Radio Operator: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle
  • 2x Runners: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle

3x Rifle Sections:
Charlie Fire Team
  • Section Commander: Corporal (OR-4), armed with L85 assault rifle and Glock 17 pistol
  • Rifleman: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle
  • Grenadier: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle and L123A2 UGL
  • Sharpshooter: Private (OR-1), armed with L129A1 DMR
Delta Fire Team
  • Second-in-Command: Lance Corporal (OR-3), armed with L85 assault rifle and Glock 17 pistol
  • Rifleman: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle
  • Grenadier: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle and L123A2 UGL
  • Machine Gunner: Private (OR-1), armed with L7A2 GPMG

There is also an alternative composition for the infantry sections, composed by an assault group and a Gun group, replacing the aforementioned scheme:

Assault Group
  • Section Commander: Corporal (OR-4), armed with L85 assault rifle and Glock 17 pistol
  • 2x Riflemen: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle
  • 2x Grenadiers: Private (OR-1), armed with L85 assault rifle and L123A2 UGL
Gun Group
  • Second-in-Command: Lance Corporal (OR-3), armed with L85 assault rifle and Glock 17 pistol
  • Sharpshooter: Private (OR-1), armed with L129A1 DMR
  • Machine Gunner: Private (OR-1), armed with L7A2 GPMG

Author's disclaimer: In the 2019 battle order, the British Armed Forces established that the upgraded L85A3 is the standard issue rifle. Although I am aware of 3CB's weapons pack, which includes the A3 version, I have used the CUP Weapons mod to reflect that the L85A2 is still in wide use by the infantry, but also because currently CUP is more used by the public.
