Hephaestus-class Mobile Refinery Platform

Key to the Alliance Expeditionary Fleet's mobility is the Hephaestus-class Mobile Refinery Platform. Designed specifically for compatibility with the Atlas-class Stationkeeper, the Hephaestus-class is a compact design featuring twelve crucibles that can rapidly smelt and process every type of ore and scrap available. Hephaestus MRPs are towed along to mineral-rich asteroid fields and set up in situ to provide a dropoff point for the Fleet's ravenous mining carriers, eliminating the need to rely on the often-distant resource depots of other civilizations.

The AEF is reportedly very anxious to determine how these blueprints were leaked, however it is already far too late to halt their dissemination. AEF leadership is reportedly weighing the benefits of destroying any unauthorized instances of this platform.

A Resource Depot platform designed for use in conjunction with the Atlas-class Stationkeeper. As Resource Depots don't actually require any functional blocks, its entire interior aside from shield and power generation is framework.
