Zetnus's Desert Oases v2

Each player starts on his or her own oasis in the midst of a barren desert. All the food and wood on this map is clumped around a few sources of water – oases (that’s the plural of oasis). Venture into the desert and you face wolves and desolation, but if you are lucky, you might find some gold or stone, or an uninhabited oasis with extra wood and food.
Hoard your wood; it's rather precious on this map.

This map scales well to most sizes; just don’t try to play with 8 players on a tiny map.
The forest and lake distribution in starting oases is not always equal, but the way I see it, it sort of balances out. If you have no water, then it means no fishing, but it also means you get a lot of extra wood.

To play choose the following when setting up a match:
Map style – Custom
Location – ZN@Desert_Oases_v2.1

V2.0 adds full LudiKRIS map-size and includes a complete overhaul of the objects generation section. The number of extra oases now scales with map size rather than player number. Water distribution should be more even. Connection generation problems (spawning in an enclosed forest, or being trapped by berries) have been fixed.
