Amtrak SW1 Variant Pack

Description
Some small boys that once worked the yards of Amtrak across the network, with one example still around today, being the Amtrak SW1's.

When Amtrak was formed in 1971, a handful of Ex PRR and NYC SW1s, which were owned by the Rodney Cult Railroad became yard-switchers for Amtraks various yards, such as Chicago and Philadelphia. They lasted into service until the late 80s and 90s when they were being displaced with other switchers. Many have been sold to other railroads or have been scrapped. However, one SW1 #737 still serves on Amtrak working as a yard switcher in the DC area as of 2022. Its currently the oldest road diesel in operation in North America, being 81 years old as of 2022 (Coincidentally, METRA #1, another SW1 was 83 years old before retirement in 2021).

FUN FACT: One SW1 appears in the 1987 film, Throw Momma From the Train. The units number is unknown, and i assume its probably a preserved SW1 painted into Amtrak colors.

In this pack, you get 7 variants of these SW1s during their time in Amtrak. From Rodney Black to the Yard Grey, the Iconic Phase III to the modern-day Phase V that 737 wears. Hope you enjoy these small runners.
