Operation

Entry - Submarine can be entered by either the forward, aft or sail hatch. Lights and systems, with exception of doors, will be off. Start up from the Reactor Control Room

Reactor Control Room - Found on the lower deck, here you will be able to control the following;
  • Reactor - Start reactor using the buttons next to main display. Open breaker, rotate key and push button once uncovered. Reactor will commence start up procedure.
  • Electrical - Switch on all breakers at the electrical panel to allow power to lights, systems, fire and bilge, weapons and ballast systems.
  • Back up generator - Open pumps and valves, click ignitions and open throttle and clutch.
  • Heating - Heating control is self-explanatory, on the side wall or RCC. Has fairly high energy use to use only as required.
Command Centre - Found on the upper deck, here you will be able to control the following;
  • Navigation and Diving Station - Radar, Sonar, Lidar and periscope can all be controlled from here. Controls for Auto-Depth and Autopilot for Lateral Navigation found here too. Collision alarm can be switched on at red breaker, sounds when UKC is less than 50m or forward clearance is less than 200m.
  • Weapons Station - Opening the key on the lower panel activates the torpedo and missile system seperately. Each missile is named. For the GPS missiles, at depths no greater than -10 metres, enter the GPS coordinates and fire. For the anti-ship missiles, point the submarine at the target within 30 degrees and fire. It will seek and destroy. For torpedos, open outer hatch and fire. Remember to close afterwards, reloading is done from torpedo bay.
  • Ballast and trim Station - Simple operation for ballast in/out. Boat will submerge with 15000+ in the tanks. Requires max fill to trim properly. Ensure stabilisation fins activated before turning.
  • Emergency Station - Controls Fire Pump, Bilge Pump and watertight doors. Indicators for Radiation levels.
  • Emergency Lights - Activated from red key switch at ladders to the sail.
  • Reactor Information panel - Is a slave unit only.
Torpedo Bay - Found on the lower deck forward, here you will be able to control the following;
  • Torpedo Tube - To fire, ensure drain pumps are on. Open out hatch, then press Fire button. Close outer hatch once torpedo is clear and allow tube to drain. Blue light will go off once fully drained.
  • Torpedo reload - Open inner torpedo hatch once tube has drained. Go to the back of compartment and release torpedo lashings, then press, to load tube. Once in tube, close hatch and bring back the loading spring.
