Korean People's Army 2035

Description
Korean People's Army 2035
By 2035, the DPRK fits a unique position as a CSAT member with both large stocks of obselete technology as well as new equipment imported from other CSAT nations and their partners. The result of this is a generational gap in equipment which can be seen on the battlefield. While they may have recieved new-issue weapons and uniforms, the fighting style of the KPA is largely unchanged, with infantry being very under-equipped by Western standards. Furthermore, some CSAT hardware has not been exported to North Korea, such as advanced T-14 tanks and modern aircraft, meaning that older generations of equipment cannot be wholly replaced.

One way to use this faction: As a lower-tech counterpart to APEX Chinese forces.

Gear
Rifle: NCAR, imported from China.
SMG: PM-63
Machine Gun: PKM
Launchers: RPG-7, RPG-32, Vorona, 9K32M
Vest: Typically none; load-bearing vests may be worn by special forces. This is claimed to increase unit endurance in long-duration fighting.
Helmet: Basic Helmet. This has the same general shape as some helmets I've seen in reference images.

Vehicles
Armor: T-55, PT-76B, T-100, BMP-1, BRDM2, BTR60, BMP-T
Cars: Kamaz variants, UAZ variants
Planes: Iran-150 (I may make a Pook auxillary mod in the future)
Turrets: DShKM, SPG-9, 9K11, ZU-23-2, S-400 system

Head-Canon
By the late 2020s, the DPRK found it would be unable to survive on its own with diminishing clandestine imports. As China, the superpower of CSAT shares a border with North Korea, an offer to join the alliance was made with the condition of a change in leadership. While this marginally improved the standing of the DPRK in the international community, little change was made in how the country was effectively run.

Requirements
Arma 3 Aegis/Atlas

This is a pretty cool mod, the relatively cheap and weak equipment are perfect for human wave tactics.

Not all CSAT units use the top-of-the-line armored outfits. See: Tac-Ops official DLC.
On the name of balance: there are countless other factions on the workshop without standard issue armor. I have a few others myself, and I make the faction equipment match what the faction should reasonably be able to be equipped with in those. In fact, vanilla Arma 3 and every official cDLC also features plenty of units who don't wear armor, and in very popular settings, such as WW2, Cold War, and once again, 2035-ish.

This isn't about the modern setting, it's garbage balance. CSAT has it's armour in the uniform, not the useless chest rig.

At least give them plate carriers bro... they look worse than africans

Wow, its almost like my interpretation of a military in the 2035 setting doesn't need to match 2020s propaganda videos!

Their weapons were chosen to ise 5.8 mm to chow China/CSAT's role in the 2035 export market with attention shifting away from Russia. (Also, their weapon is AK-12 based so there goes your point about lower tech than modern times with the AK-74.)

They should have AK74Ms or Chinese equip.
Plate carriers etc

"2035" they are lower tech than modern DPRK.

CSAT gear logically makes no sense whatsoever
They're only good at stopping shrapnel and since these dudes only have the chest rigs they have literally zero upsides

With AK-12, Level II helmets, and modern infantry uniforms/vests, one might think that I portrayed them as *too* high-tech! While lower-tech than standard CSAT, they are definitely still using base game 2035 Arma 3 gear.

garbage take, at least research the bare minimum before making them look like soldiers who time traveled from 1960

Chest rigs are more suited for special forces as they run light.
